AIIMS Bhopal Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 for MD, MS, DNB and MDS Holders

AIIMS Bhopal Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 fills Senior Resident (Non-Academic) posts on a purely temporary basis under Advt. No. AIIMS Bhopal/SR (Non-Acad.)/2026/08. The advertisement lists 64 posts in 26 departments and 28 shorter-term posts in 14 departments. That is 92 posts by our count. Online registration closes on 15 November 2026. You need an MD, MS, DNB or MDS in the subject and a valid medical or dental council registration. The pay is Rs 67,700 a month at Level 11, plus allowances. Interviews are tentatively planned for the last week of November 2026.

AIIMS Bhopal Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: 64 regular-tenure seats and 28 six-month seats

Annexure-IV has two tables. The first covers 26 departments with the normal residency tenure. The second covers 14 departments where AIIMS Bhopal is using academic seats that are lying vacant. Seats in the second table run for at most six months and can be extended by up to six more months.

The first table includes 2 posts for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), and the second includes 1. If no candidate turns up in a reserved category, AIIMS may interview others, including UR candidates. Such an appointment cannot go beyond 44 days.

The second table, for six months plus up to six more. Five departments appear in both tables: Gastroenterology, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Pathology and Radiodiagnosis. Their tenures differ, and the advertisement does not say how the form tells the two rows apart. Annexure-IV does not say which departments hold the PwBD seats.

AIIMS Bhopal checks the MD, MS, DNB or MDS and registration on interview day

You need a postgraduate medical degree (MD, MS, DNB or MDS) in the department’s subject. It must be recognised by the NMC, the Dental Council of India or the National Dental Commission. A degree from an Institute of National Importance also counts. You also need a valid registration with the NMC, a State Medical Council or the Dental Council of India.

Eligibility is checked as on the date of the interview, not the closing date. Your result must be declared and your degree tenure completed by the interview date. Some departments accept wider degrees:

• Super-specialty departments: candidates with a relevant MD, MS or DNB may also apply. Annexure-IV adds that super-specialty applicants may also apply to the parent department of Medicine or Surgery.
• Trauma and Emergency Medicine: MD, MS or DNB in Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics or Anesthesiology.
• Medical Oncology / Haematology: MD or DNB in Medicine, Paediatrics, Radiotherapy or Pathology. Holders of a DM or DNB in Medical Oncology or Haematology can also apply.

Rs 67,700 at Level 11 with NPA, and how past residency cuts the term

The pay is Rs 67,700 a month, which is Level 11, Cell 1 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix. The usual allowances are added, including the Non-Practising Allowance (NPA), as the rules allow. Private practice is not allowed. The advertisement, which calls AIIMS Bhopal an Institute of National Importance, gives no take-home figure, so we have not estimated one.

The first term is one year, which in our reading applies to rows 1 to 26. It can be extended up to three years in total under the Residency Scheme. Senior Resident service you have already done at any government hospital, public sector body or autonomous institute counts toward those three years. You are offered only the balance. If you have already finished three years as a Senior Resident, you will not be considered.

The job is temporary and need-based. You may work in shifts and be posted anywhere in the institute.

45 on interview day, with up to 15 more years for SC and ST doctors with a disability

• General upper limit: 45 years on the date of the interview.
• OBC (Central List): up to 3 more years.
• SC and ST: up to 5 more years.
• PwBD: 10 more years for General, 13 for OBC and 15 for SC and ST candidates.

Reservation follows Central Government rules. OBC non-creamy layer and EWS certificates must be in the given formats. Those issued from 1 April 2026 up to the interview date are accepted. PwBD candidates get 4% of the posts as horizontal reservation. In our words, these seats cut across the caste categories. They need a certificate from an authorised Medical Board, countersigned by the Medical Superintendent, CMO or head of the hospital or institution.

A Rs 1,500 demand draft for each AIIMS Bhopal department you choose

General, OBC and EWS candidates pay Rs 1,500. SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates pay nothing. The fee is paid only by demand draft in favour of “EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AIIMS, Bhopal”. If you apply for more than one department, you pay a separate fee for each. The fee is not refunded in any case.

Online by 15 November 2026, or the Registrar’s paper form on interview day

The advertisement says applications are online only, through the AIIMS Bhopal website. It also says the online form interface “shall be opened as per the schedule”. The careers page had no apply link on 2 November 2026. By 5 November it listed two things in the Apply column for this advertisement: a printable application form and a link labelled Google Form. The printable form has a field for the demand draft number and a checklist of enclosures. The Google Form did not open for us without a Google sign-in, so we cannot tell you what it asks for. The notice does not say how a paper form should reach the institute before 15 November. Use the links on the careers page, and e-mail registraroffice@aiimsbhopal.edu.in if you are unsure which route counts. The opening date is printed as 30.10.2026 in the advertisement and as 31 October 2026 on the careers page.

AIIMS Bhopal then publishes interview schedules for the departments that received applications by 15 November 2026. The advertisement offers a second route. If you could not apply online by then, you can report directly on the interview day of a scheduled department. Bring all your certificates and a filled form, which the Registrar’s office will give out in paper form.

Incomplete forms may be rejected outright, and canvassing of any kind disqualifies you. The written test or interview is held at AIIMS Bhopal, Saket Nagar, Bhopal. No travel allowance is paid. Carry the originals and one set of self-attested copies, with a print-out of your online or paper form. Without the originals, you will not be allowed in the selection process.

10. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your present employer

14. Any other relevant document

The advertisement makes the NOC compulsory for staff of central or state governments, semi-government and autonomous bodies and PSUs. Those working in government hospitals must apply through the proper channel. Without the NOC, you will not be allowed into the test or interview.
