Thirty-nine contract seats for doctors at ESIC Model Hospital, Sector 9A, are offered at one walk-in on 13 November 2026 under ESIC Gurugram Recruitment 2026. It covers 13 Full-Time Contractual Specialists and 26 Senior Residents, 39 posts in all. Both are contract posts for up to three years, renewed every year. Reporting is from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM that day. Specialists need a PG degree or diploma with 3 or 5 years of experience after it, and can be up to 69 years old. Senior Residents need a PG degree or diploma, can be up to 45, and some MBBS doctors may be taken for one year. There is no written exam in the notice.

ESIC hospital’s own notice: this page is built on Advertisement No. 05/2026 (Rolling Advertisement) of ESIC Model Hospital Gurugram, dated 28 October 2026. It is a 13-page PDF with the bio-data form and certificate formats at the end. ESIC listed it on its recruitments page on 2 November 2026. On 5 November 2026 that page still showed no correction notice or change for this Gurugram walk-in, and the PDF is unchanged.

ESIC Gurugram Recruitment 2026 is a rolling advertisement: unfilled seats may return with a new walk-in date

ESIC is a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment. Its Model Hospital in Gurugram is hiring for two contract roles (page 1):

  • Full-Time Contractual Specialist (FTCS): 13 posts.
  • Senior Resident (3 years): 26 posts.

The notice calls itself a “rolling advertisement”. Posts left unfilled after 13 November may be notified again, with a new walk-in date set by the hospital (page 6). The hospital may change the number of posts at the interview, or fill all the posts or none of them. It may also change the date or venue, or cancel the interview (page 4).

No private-clinic years: how ESIC Gurugram counts specialist experience

For the specialist posts you need (page 2):

  • Registration with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council. The form itself asks for an NMC registration number (page 12).
  • A PG degree or PG diploma in the specialty from a recognised university. For ICU and Accident & Emergency, a postgraduate in Critical Care is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of work in the specialty after a PG degree, or at least 5 years after a PG diploma.

That experience must come from a government hospital or a recognised private hospital. Work at a private clinic does not count. The upper age is 69 years on the interview day, with relaxation as per rules.

MBBS without PG: a one-year Gurugram residency if no PG doctor applies

A Senior Resident needs a PG degree or PG diploma in the specialty and registration with a medical council. The age limit is 45 on the interview day (page 3). For ICU and Accident & Emergency, Critical Care postgraduates are preferred. If none is available, the hospital may consider anaesthesia, medicine, pulmonary medicine or paediatric specialists.

If no PG doctors are available, an MBBS doctor without a PG may be taken for one year. That doctor needs two years of experience, with one year in the specialty, at a government hospital or private hospital, not a private clinic. PG-qualified candidates still get preference. Private hospital experience must be backed by the hospital’s registration under the Clinical Establishment Act.

Two more rules apply (page 4):

  • A doctor who has already worked 3 years as a Senior Resident under the Central Residency Scheme cannot apply.
  • A Senior Resident now working in a government hospital must send the application through their current employer (the notice calls this “proper channel”). The total residency, old and new, may not cross 3 years.

Rs 1,48,263 a month for specialists, Level 11 for residents

A pay level is the band in the central pay matrix that fixes basic pay.

Post Pay in the notice
Full-Time Contractual Specialist Consolidated Rs 1,48,263 a month (page 2)
Senior Resident Pay Level 11 of the 7th Pay Commission, basic pay Rs 67,700, plus allowances (page 3)

Both posts are paid on a “No Work No Pay” basis. A Senior Resident with only a PG diploma has Rs 1,687.50 deducted, and one with no PG degree or diploma has Rs 2,812.50 deducted (pages 3 and 4). The notice does not say whether this is a monthly cut. It also gives no allowance figures, so we have not estimated the Senior Resident’s take-home pay. ESIC may revise both pay figures under its headquarters rules.

Other contract terms (pages 4 and 5):

  • Either side can end the contract with one month’s notice. It also ends when a regular doctor joins.
  • There is no claim to a regular job later.
  • You sign an agreement on Rs 100 non-judicial stamp paper and give a security deposit to “ESIC Fund Account No. 2”. The notice does not state the deposit amount.
  • No hostel, quarters or uniform is given, and private practice is not allowed.
  • No travel or daily allowance is paid for the interview or for joining.

Rs 300 to ESIC Fund Account No. 2, and the ex-servicemen gap on page 12

SC, ST, persons with disabilities (PwD) and women candidates, and ex-servicemen, pay nothing. All others pay Rs 300 by demand draft (page 5). The rules for the draft are strict:

  • Make it out to “ESIC Fund Account No. 2”, drawn on any scheduled bank and payable at Gurugram.
  • It must be issued after the date of the advertisement, 28 October 2026.
  • Only a demand draft is accepted, and the fee is not refunded.
  • Applying for both posts means two applications, each with its own fee.

The notice is not consistent on ex-servicemen. The fee table on page 5 exempts them. But item 17 of the Annexure F form (page 12) lists the exemption only for SC, ST, PwD and women candidates. The form also writes the payee as “ESI Fund A/C No.2”. Ex-servicemen should confirm with the hospital before the interview whether they need a draft.

A 90-minute reporting window at the Medical Superintendent’s chamber, 13 November

The venue is the Chambers of the Medical Superintendent, 2nd Floor, ESIC Model Hospital, Sector 9A, Gurugram, Haryana 122001 (page 1). Reporting opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 10:30 AM. Document checks and the interview happen together, and the selection board’s decision is final (page 4).

Government employees must bring a no-objection certificate (NOC) from their employer. Joining depends on a medical fitness check and scrutiny of your papers (page 4).

Annexure F in capital letters and the documents ESIC Gurugram checks

The application must be on the bio-data form in Annexure F, filled in capital letters only. Any other format, or an incomplete form, is rejected (page 6). The form needs a recent, attested colour passport-size photo pasted on it (page 11). If any relevant document is missing at the interview, your candidature is not considered, and false information can cancel it at any stage (page 5). Bring the originals and one set of self-attested copies of:

  1. Identity proof and address proof.
  2. Age proof (Class 10 or birth certificate).
  3. Medical council registration.
  4. Internship completion and attempt certificates.
  5. Class 10, Class 12, MBBS and MD, MS or DNB certificates.
  6. Experience certificates and NOC, if any.
  7. Category certificate in the central government format. OBC candidates use the Annexure A certificate, and give the Annexure B self-declaration at a later stage. EWS candidates use Annexure C, and ex-servicemen sign the Annexure D undertaking. Certificates must be valid for the current year, and OBC candidates need the latest one (pages 4 and 5).
  8. Two recent passport-size photos.

For questions, the notice gives the Medical Superintendent’s office landline 0124-2252001, 10 AM to 4 PM on weekdays and 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays. You may also e-mail questions and a copy of the filled Annexure F with your documents to ms-gurgaon.hr@esic.gov.in until 13 November 2026, with your contact number (page 6). E-mailing the form does not replace the walk-in: only candidates who report at the venue on 13 November between 9:00 and 10:30 AM are considered (pages 1 and 4). The header of the Annexure F form (page 11) prints a different address, ms-gurgaon.hr@esic.nic.in, and fax 0124-2255133. Pages 1 and 6 both use the esic.gov.in address.
