Bijapur Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026: 417 Posts, Paper Forms at 6 Police Offices
On this page
Only people who live in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh can apply for the 417 Fighter Constable posts in Bijapur Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026. The paper form has been taken since 2 November 2026 and is accepted until 5 PM on 12 December 2026. Six police offices in the district accept it, led by the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP), Bijapur. You need Class 10 from a school in Chhattisgarh or Madhya Pradesh. The English version of the state rules names only Chhattisgarh, so read the school section below. Class 5 is enough for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates and for families hit by Naxal violence or living in relief camps. The age limit is 18 to 28 years on 1 January 2026. The post is at Level 4 of the state pay matrix, the same pay level as a district Constable (GD). The notice gives no rupee figure.
Who counts for Bijapur Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026: district residents only
The advertisement invites forms “only from local residents of district Bijapur” (page 1). The form asks you to attach a certificate from a competent authority that proves this (form item 14). The state rules say you must be a local resident of the district you apply in (rules, page 2). Residents of other Bastar districts should check their own district police website for a notice.
The Bastar Fighter force is a special local force for the Bastar division. The state rules say it needs people who know the area, its language or dialect and its culture (rules, page 1).
Bijapur’s 417 posts by category, and the 30% share for local women
| Category | Posts |
|---|---|
| Scheduled Tribe (ST) | 290 |
| Other Backward Classes (OBC) | 68 |
| Scheduled Caste (SC) | 40 |
| Unreserved (UR) | 19 |
| Total | 417 |
So about seven in ten Bijapur posts are for ST candidates. The notice adds that the number of posts and the pay scale may go up or down under later state or police headquarters orders (page 1).
Some posts are also reserved across these categories (page 1):
- 30% for local women of Bijapur district.
- 25% for Nagar Sainiks (home guards). The rules give this quota only to home guards with 3 years of service (rules, page 7).
- 15% for Sahayak Aarakshaks (assistant constables).
- 10% for ex-servicemen.
- 10% for former Agniveer soldiers, under a state letter of 14 October 2026.
The notice calls the women, home guard, Sahayak Aarakshak and Agniveer quotas horizontal (samastariya). Under the rules, a selected woman, home guard or ex-serviceman still fills a post of her or his own caste category (rules, page 7).
Six Bijapur police offices and PIN 494444 for posted forms
SDO means Sub-Divisional Officer, the officer in charge of a police sub-division. Fill the form printed on pages 4 to 6 of the PDF and hand it in during office hours at any of these offices (page 1):
- Office of the Superintendent of Police, Bijapur
- Office of the SDO (Police), Bhairamgarh
- Office of the SDO (Police), Kutru
- Office of the SDO (Police), Farsegarh
- Office of the SDO (Police), Bhopalpatnam
- Office of the SDO (Police), Awapalli
You may also send it only by registered post to the Office of the Superintendent of Police, District Bijapur, PIN 494444. A posted form must reach the SP office by 5 PM on 12 December 2026. Forms that arrive later are not accepted. Keep the postal receipt, because you must bring it on the recruitment date.
The notice gives no online option. The notice does not mention any application fee. The SP office letterhead gives fax 07853-296247 and e-mail spbijapur.cg@gov.in.
Which school certificate Bijapur accepts, and who may apply with Class 5
Most applicants need a Class 10 pass from a Chhattisgarh or Madhya Pradesh school (page 2). Class 5 is enough for two groups:
- ST candidates.
- Candidates of any category from Naxal-affected families, or from families living in relief camps in the state. The form asks for a certificate for this (item 16).
The state’s Hindi Gazette of 31 August 2026 also accepts a school in either state (Schedule 3, Gazette page 962(11)). The English version of the rules mentions only Chhattisgarh schools. The Hindi Gazette, the Hindi notification on the Kanker police site (page 13) and the Bijapur notice all name both states, so this page follows them. The two languages still differ, and the Bijapur notice does not say which one prevails. If your Class 10 school is in Madhya Pradesh, confirm with the SP office before you apply. Use the fax or e-mail on the notice letterhead, or ask at the office.
You must hold the qualification by 12 December 2026. Attach your own marksheets. The form table has rows for Class 5, 8, 10, 12 and higher study.
Bijapur upper age 28, or 38 for local women and 36 for state staff
On 1 January 2026 you must be between 18 and 28 (page 1). The upper limit is relaxed as follows (pages 1 and 2):
- SC, ST and OBC candidates: up to 5 more years.
- Local women of Bijapur district: up to 10 more years.
- Permanent or temporary Chhattisgarh government servants: up to 36 years. For temporary staff, this also covers contingency-paid staff, work-charged staff and project implementation committee staff.
- Government servants who lost their jobs when posts were cut: their temporary service, up to 7 years, is deducted from their age. This can take you at most 3 years past the limit.
The state rules list a few more relaxations that the Bijapur notice does not repeat (rules, pages 3 and 4):
- Ex-servicemen: defence service is deducted from age, up to 3 years over the limit.
- Employees of state corporations and boards: up to 36 years.
- Home guards and contract staff: extra years linked to their service, with caps set in rule 8. Our Narayanpur page lists these caps.
- The upper-caste partner of a couple awarded under the inter-caste marriage scheme, and winners of some state awards and the National Youth Award: up to 5 years.
The rules say no other relaxation is allowed, apart from relaxations under state government orders in force. Attach the certificate for any relaxation you claim (form item 5).
Height, chest and the knock-knee check before the Bijapur physical test
| Candidate | Minimum height | Chest (normal / expanded) |
|---|---|---|
| UR, SC and OBC men | 163 cm | 79 cm / 84 cm |
| ST men | 150 cm | 74 cm / 79 cm |
| UR, SC and OBC women | 153 cm | Not measured |
| ST women | 148 cm | Not measured |
Every man needs at least 5 cm of chest expansion (page 2). Bijapur’s committee measures you, and its figure stands. You must not be physically disabled, must not have knock-knee or flat feet, and must be medically fit. Only the IG of Bastar Range can relax height or chest, in special cases (rules, page 4). Your eyes must be free of disease, and you must tell the main colours apart. A third-gender applicant uses the men’s or women’s standard, whichever the certificate shows.
60 or 50 marks out of 100 in the PET decide who writes the exam
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) comes first, after the document check and body measurement (page 2). Each of the five events (long jump, high jump, shot put, 100 metre race and 800 metre race) is worth 20 marks.
- Each event allows one try, and skipping any event is not allowed.
- UR candidates need at least 60 of the 100 marks. SC, ST and OBC candidates need 50 (page 3).
- A score you think is wrong can be challenged before the committee right there.
- The rules allow the PET only in daylight, between sunrise and sunset, never at night or under lights (rules, page 6).
The marks for each jump, throw and run time are set in Schedule 5 of the state rules. Our Narayanpur Bastar Fighter page lays out those score tables.
6,255 written-exam calls and 1,251 interviews: Bijapur’s 200-mark merit list
| Stage | Marks | Who is called (page 3) |
|---|---|---|
| PET | 100 | All who pass the document check and measurement |
| Written exam | 50 | Up to 15 times the posts, plus ties |
| Interview | 20 | Up to 3 times the posts, plus ties |
| Bonus | Up to 30 | For certificates held by 12 December 2026 |
With 417 posts, 15 times means up to 6,255 candidates for the written exam, and 3 times means up to 1,251 for the interview. Anyone tied on the cut-off mark also gets called. These two figures are our own multiplication of the notice’s rule.
The written paper is objective, with questions on general knowledge, mental ability, analytical ability, local geography, culture, traditions, social values and arithmetic. The rules give it 2 hours (rules, page 6).
Bonus marks come from three things (page 3):
- Knowledge of the district’s local dialect: 20 marks. The interview panel includes an expert in the local language to test this (rules, page 7).
- A heavy motor vehicle driving licence: 5 marks.
- A “C” certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) or National Service Scheme (NSS): 5 marks.
The final merit list adds your PET, written, interview and bonus marks (page 3). The SP will announce separate dates for each stage. Only SC, ST and OBC candidates get their actual travel fare for these stages, under government orders (rules, page 5).
The 24-item Bijapur form and the certificates to attach
The form (pages 4 to 6) needs a recent passport-size photo, not more than 3 months old. Write your name in Hindi and in English capital letters. It then asks yes-or-no questions, each needing proof if the answer is yes:
- Are you a Sahayak Aarakshak, an ex-serviceman or a former Agniveer? Are you, or were you, a home guard?
- Are you a local resident of Bijapur, and are you OBC, SC or ST?
- Is your family Naxal-affected or living in a relief camp?
- Do you hold a heavy vehicle licence, or an NCC or NSS “C” certificate?
- Do you work for the government, a corporation or a board? If yes, attach a no-objection certificate (NOC) from your head of department.
- Has a medical board ever declared you unfit? Have you ever been arrested, prosecuted or convicted, or is any case pending against you?
- Are you married, and on what date?
Give your Aadhaar or voter ID number, list your attachments, and sign the declaration. The last part of the form is a receipt slip (pavti) with your details, which the receiving official signs and dates.
Pension choice and a waiting list under the 31 August 2026 Bastar Fighter rules
The state rules of 31 August 2026 add these points that the Bijapur notice does not repeat:
- A Fighter Constable is equal to the Constable (GD) of that district. Other service terms, duties, pay and allowances are the same as for Constables (GD) posted in these districts (rules, page 10).
- Selected candidates are appointed on 3 years of probation if their character check is clear. Hiding facts in that check can end the appointment (rules, page 8).
- You choose either the National Pension System (NPS) or the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), in force from 1 August 2025 (rules, page 10).
- A Fighter Constable becomes eligible to be considered for promotion to Head Constable (Bastar Fighters) after at least 8 years of service. A promotion committee then decides (rules, pages 8 and 12).
- A waiting list of 25% of the posts is kept for up to one year (rules, page 8).
The rules also bar some people (rules, pages 4 and 5). These include anyone who tries to get support for their candidature by any means, and anyone married below the legal age. A man with more than one living wife is barred, and so is a woman married to a man with a living wife. The government may relax this bar for specific reasons. A conviction for an offence against women also bars you, and if such a case is pending, the appointment is kept on hold until the court decides.
The notice states the pay only as Level 4 of the pay matrix, with allowances. No rupee amount is printed, so this page gives no monthly salary.
Sukma and Narayanpur run the same Bastar Fighter rules on separate district forms
The same rules run the Bastar Fighter drive in other districts. See our page on Sukma Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026 and the Narayanpur page linked above. Each is open only to its own district’s residents. For more openings, see Chhattisgarh government jobs, police recruitment and jobs for Class 10 pass candidates.
Before you go to an office, keep your residence and caste certificates from the competent authority ready, with self-attested copies of your marksheets. If you know the local dialect, prepare for the interview test, since it alone can add 20 marks. Then submit the form well before 5 PM on 12 December 2026.
