Sukma Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026: 375 Fighter Constable Posts
On this page
Sukma Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026 fills 375 Fighter Constable posts in the Chhattisgarh Police Special Executive Force, known as the Bastar Fighters. Only local residents of Sukma district can apply. The Superintendent of Police (SP), Sukma, accepts paper forms from 2 November 2026 to 12 December 2026, until 5 PM. Of the 375 posts, 315 are for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. You need Class 10, or only Class 5 if you are ST or come from a Naxal-affected family. Your age must be 18 to 28 years on 1 January 2026, with extra years for some groups.
Sukma Bastar Fighter Recruitment 2026 keeps 315 of 375 posts for ST candidates
The notice calls the force the Chhattisgarh Police Special Executive Force (Bastar Fighter), and the post Fighter Aarakshak, which means Fighter Constable. It splits the posts by caste category like this:
| Category | Posts |
|---|---|
| Unreserved (UR) | 26 |
| Other Backward Classes (OBC) | 26 |
| Scheduled Castes (SC) | 8 |
| Scheduled Tribes (ST) | 315 |
| Total | 375 |
The notice says the State Government and Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur, may raise or cut this number later. The short notice adds that the pay scale may change too.
Some quotas also run across these categories. This is called horizontal reservation: a candidate can belong to a caste category and to one of these groups at the same time. The notice does not explain how the two are counted together. It lists these quotas:
- Local women of Sukma district: 30% of the posts.
- Nagar Sainik (home guards): 25%.
- Sahayak Aarakshak (assistant constables): 15%.
- Ex-servicemen: 10%.
- Former Agniveers: 10% horizontal and category-wise reservation, under a Chhattisgarh government letter of 14 October 2026.
For caste reservation, the short notice points to the 1994 Chhattisgarh provisions for SC, ST and OBC candidates. It also points to the instructions the state issues from time to time. Each claim needs a certificate from the competent authority, attached to the form.
Class 5 is enough for ST and Naxal-affected applicants, Class 10 for others
The basic rule is Class 10 passed from a school in Chhattisgarh or Madhya Pradesh. Two groups can apply with only Class 5:
- ST candidates.
- Candidates of any category from a Naxal-affected family in the state, or from a family living in a relief camp in a Naxal-affected area.
You must hold the qualification by 12 December 2026, the last date. Attach self-attested copies of your mark sheets. The form has rows for Class 5, 8, 10 and 12, graduation and any other course, so we suggest filling every level you have passed.
Ten extra years for Sukma’s local women, five for SC, ST and OBC
You must be at least 18 and not more than 28 years old on 1 January 2026. The upper limit then rises for these groups:
- SC, ST and OBC candidates: up to 5 more years.
- Local women of Sukma district: up to 10 more years, under the Chhattisgarh rules of 1997 for appointing women.
- Permanent Chhattisgarh government employees: up to 36 years. The same limit covers temporary staff, contingency-paid staff, work-charged staff and project committee staff.
- Retrenched government servants: may subtract up to 7 years of temporary service. The result may not go more than 3 years above the limit.
The notice does not say whether two relaxations can be added together. All of them follow the state government’s guidelines. The Bastar Fighter rules in the Chhattisgarh Gazette of 31 August 2026 list a few more. Examples are ex-servicemen, home guards (up to 8 years, not above 36) and contract staff (up to 38). Check with the SP office if one of these applies to you.
150 cm for ST men, 148 cm for ST women: Bastar Fighter chest and height
| Candidate | Minimum height | Chest (normal / expanded) |
|---|---|---|
| UR, SC and OBC men | 163 cm | 79 cm / 84 cm |
| ST men | 150 cm | 74 cm / 79 cm |
| UR, SC and OBC women | 153 cm | Not measured |
| ST women | 148 cm | Not measured |
Men must expand the chest by at least 5 cm. The selection committee’s measurement is final. You must not have knock-knees or flat feet, any eye disease or colour blindness. Third-gender candidates follow the men’s or women’s standards, as their certificate states.
Five PET events carry half of the 200 Bastar Fighter marks
The final merit list adds four parts. The notice gives each part’s marks; the total of 200 is our own addition.
| Stage | Marks | Who gets to this stage |
|---|---|---|
| Physical Efficiency Test (PET) | 100 | Everyone who clears documents and measurement |
| Written exam | 50 | Up to 15 times the number of posts |
| Interview | 20 | Up to 3 times the number of posts |
| Bonus marks | 30 | Anyone holding the certificates by 12 December 2026 |
| Total | 200 |
The PET has five events of 20 marks each: long jump, high jump, shot put, a 100 metre race and an 800 metre race. You get one attempt at each event, and you must take part in all five. UR candidates need 60 of the 100 marks. SC, ST and OBC candidates need 50. If you disagree with your score, you can appeal to the selection committee. The notice says it will decide the appeal at once, and its decision is final.
The written exam has objective questions for 50 marks. It covers general knowledge, mental and analytical ability, the local geography, culture, traditions and social values, and arithmetic. At both the written and interview stages, everyone tied at the cut-off mark is called. The notice says nothing about negative marking.
20 bonus marks for knowing Sukma’s local dialect
Bonus marks can decide a close merit list. The notice gives up to 30:
- Knowledge of the district’s local dialect: 20 marks.
- A heavy motor vehicle driving licence: 5 marks.
- An NCC “C” certificate or an NSS (National Service Scheme) “C” certificate: 5 marks.
By our count, the 20 dialect marks equal the full 20-mark interview. The Sukma notice does not say how dialect knowledge is tested. The state rules of 31 August 2026 say a local-dialect expert will sit on the interview committee for this. Licence and certificate bonuses count only if you hold them by 12 December 2026.

Level 4 pay without a rupee figure, and what the Sukma notice leaves out
The post is on Level 4 of the state pay matrix, plus the allowances paid from time to time. The notice prints no rupee figure, so we have not estimated take-home pay.
The notice also does not state:
- any application fee;
- the dates of the document check, PET, written exam or interview (it says these will be issued separately);
- the grounds for disqualification, which it leaves to para 09 of the 31 August 2026 rules.
The short notice says the form and the test details are also on notice boards in the district. These are at every police station, every Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) office and the SP office. The SP office, Sukma, lists 07864-284101 as its phone number. The full rules and later notices are to appear on the Sukma police and district websites, and on the Chhattisgarh Police website.
