AEES Teacher Recruitment 2026 is Recruitment Notification 01/2026 of the Atomic Energy Education Society. It lists 254 tentative posts, from Principal down to Balvatika (pre-primary) teacher, in its schools across India. The online form runs from 2 November 2026 (10 AM) to 22 November 2026 (11:50 PM). Selection is by a computer-based test (CBT), followed by a teaching skill test or, for Principal and Vice-Principal, an interview. The biggest single block is 89 Primary Teacher posts, which need Class 12, a D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed, and CTET Paper-I.

The AEES papers used here: the 30-page English Recruitment Notification 01/2026 (PDF), whose file name carries the date 29.10.2026, and the 16-page annexures with certificate formats (PDF). A Hindi translation is also posted, and the notice says the English text prevails. On 5 November 2026, the AEES recruitment page still listed Notification 01/2026 under 31-10-2026, with its application portal link and no corrigendum or date extension. The PDF was unchanged.

AEES Teacher Recruitment 2026: 254 posts from Level 6 to Level 12

AEES is an autonomous body under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. It runs 30 English-medium CBSE schools at 15 centres, such as Anushaktinagar (Mumbai), Kalpakkam, Kudankulam, Narora, Rawatbhata, Indore, Jaduguda and Hyderabad. The notice says all vacancies are tentative and may go up or down.

The pay level is the level in the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix. The age is the upper limit, before any relaxation.

Post Posts Pay level (pay range, Rs) Age limit
Principal 4 12 (78,800 to 2,09,200) 35 to 50
Vice-Principal 1 10 (56,100 to 1,77,500) 35 to 45
PGT: English 4, Mathematics 4, Biology 2, Chemistry 3, Physics 2, Computer Science 3, Commerce 6, Economics 2, History 1 27 8 (47,600 to 1,51,100) Up to 40
TGT: English 14, Social Studies 11, Hindi-Sanskrit 9, Mathematics-Physics 22, Chemistry-Biology 13, Computer Science 13, P&HE Male 7, P&HE Female 5, Art Education 7, Marathi 1 102 7 (44,900 to 1,42,400) Up to 35
Librarian 13 7 (44,900 to 1,42,400) Up to 35
Primary Teacher (PRT) 89 6 (35,400 to 1,12,400) Up to 30
PRT (Music) 10 6 (35,400 to 1,12,400) Up to 30
Balvatika Teacher 8 6 (35,400 to 1,12,400) Up to 30
Total 254

PGT means Post Graduate Teacher, TGT means Trained Graduate Teacher and P&HE means Physical and Health Education. The subtotals for PGT and TGT are our sums of the notice’s post-wise rows.

By category, the 254 posts are SC 33, ST 16, OBC (NCL) 68, EWS 25 and UR 112. Persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) hold 12 posts within these: 9 for locomotor disability, 1 for hearing impairment and 2 for other disabilities. A PwBD candidate is adjusted against the vacancy of their own category. Your post’s row in the notice shows its exact category split.

The notice gives pay levels and ranges only, so we have not estimated an in-hand figure.

Mumbai-only skill test and transfer to any AEES school

  • A selected teacher can be posted to any AEES school in India. Requests to change station or region are not accepted. You give your order of preference for posting in the form.
  • Probation is two years and can be extended. During probation, service can be ended without giving reasons.
  • The skill test and interview are held only at AEES, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai. Outstation SC and ST candidates get second-class train fare or ordinary bus fare for it. This does not apply if you already work for a government, PSU, autonomous body, local body or panchayat.
  • A select list equal to the vacancies is drawn up, with a wait list of the same size, valid for one year.

CTET for AEES TGT Computer Science, Librarian and PRT Music is unclear

CTET is the Central Teacher Eligibility Test held by CBSE. The post sections ask for CTET Paper-II for TGT English, Hindi-Sanskrit, Marathi, Mathematics-Physics, Chemistry-Biology and Social Studies, and CTET Paper-I for PRT. The certificate must be issued on or before 22 November 2026.

For a few posts, the notice contradicts itself:

  • Para 4.6 (page 14) says CTET is essential for PRT and TGTs, except Music, Art Education, Librarian and Physical and Health Education.
  • Para 14(n) (page 27) says CTET is essential for PRT and TGTs, except Computer Science, Art Education and Physical and Health Education.
  • The upload list for TGTs (para 7.4, page 18) says the CTET Paper-II mark sheet is not needed for TGT Computer Science, P&HE and Art Education.
  • The post sections for TGT Computer Science, Librarian and PRT Music print no CTET requirement at all.

TGT Computer Science is the clearest clash: para 4.6 asks for CTET, while three other places do not. Para 4.6 exempts Librarian and “Music”. There is no TGT Music post, so this appears to mean PRT Music. Para 14(n) exempts neither, though their own sections ask for no CTET. If you apply for one of these without CTET, raise the question through the “Raise Query” tab inside your portal login, or call the helpline 18005691325, before you pay. The AEES central office e-mail printed on the notice is pers-conf@aees.gov.in.

Para 14(o) sets the CTET pass mark the notice accepts: 60% for unreserved posts and 55% for posts reserved for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD.

Subject combinations that bar some AEES PGT and TGT applicants

A PGT needs a Master’s degree with at least 50% in the subject and a B.Ed. with 50% (or an integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or a four-year integrated course). For most PGT subjects, you must also have studied the subject at graduation. Watch these subject rules:

  • PGT Commerce: an M.Com in Applied or Business Economics is not accepted.
  • PGT Computer Science: M.Sc. (Computer Science or IT), MCA, or M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science or IT, with 50%, plus a B.Ed.
  • TGT Mathematics-Physics: Mathematics for three years, Physics for one year, and one of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science or Statistics for one year. A B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics or Chemistry is not eligible.
  • TGT Chemistry-Biology: Biology, Life Science, Botany or Zoology as the main subject for three years. Chemistry is needed for one year. With Botany as the main subject, add Zoology; with Zoology, add Botany; with Biology or Life Science, either.
  • TGT Social Studies: two of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science. One must be History or Geography as a main subject for three years, and the second must be studied for at least one year.
  • TGT language posts: the language studied as a main subject for at least three years or six semesters.

The language, science and Social Studies TGTs need a Bachelor’s or Honours degree with 50% in the subject, the subject combination and the aggregate, and a B.Ed. with 50%. Other routes include a four-year integrated course and a one-year B.Ed. (Special Education) from RCI. A teacher with a B.Ed. (Special Education) must do a six-month NCTE programme after joining.

Within PGTs you can apply for only one subject, and within TGTs only one subject, even if you qualify for more. You may apply for more than one post, such as a PGT and a PRT post, but each needs a separate fee.

PRT, PRT Music, Balvatika and Librarian rules in AEES Notification 01/2026

  • PRT: Class 12 with 50% and a two-year D.El.Ed., or a four-year B.El.Ed., or a two-year D.Ed. (Special Education) from RCI; plus CTET Paper-I.
  • PRT (Music): Class 12 with 50% and a Bachelor’s degree in Music or Performing Arts, with music in every year. A diploma in music is not accepted.
  • Balvatika Teacher: Class 12 with 50% and English at the +2 level, plus a two-year nursery or early childhood education diploma (D.E.C.Ed.) or a B.Ed. (Nursery).
  • Librarian: a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science with 50%, and knowledge of computer applications.

Principal applicants need a Master’s and a B.Ed. with 50% each. They also need experience in central or state government or their autonomous bodies. That means serving as a Principal at Level 12, or three years as Vice-Principal at Level 10, or 12 years as PGT or Lecturer at Level 8. Combined service of 12 years as PGT and Vice-Principal also counts. Vice-Principal applicants need six years as PGT or Lecturer at Level 8, or current service as a Vice-Principal at Level 10.

AEES age relaxation, including 10 years for women teachers

All eligibility, including age, is judged on 22 November 2026, the last date of the form. If AEES extends the last date, the cut-off stays at 22 November. You must be at least 18. The relaxations on the upper age limit are:

Category Extra years
SC / ST 5
OBC (non-creamy layer) 3
Women of all categories, for PGT, TGT, Librarian, PRT and Balvatika posts 10
Regular AEES employees; or 3 years’ continuous central government service in the same or allied cadre 5 (General), 8 (OBC), 10 (SC/ST)
PwBD 10 (General), 13 (OBC), 15 (SC/ST); AEES employees get 5 more
Ex-servicemen, Group A posts 5 (General), 8 (OBC), 10 (SC/ST)
Ex-servicemen, Group B posts 3 (General), 6 (OBC), 8 (SC/ST), after deducting military service

The notice limits the women’s relaxation to PGT, TGT, Librarian, PRT and Balvatika posts, so it does not extend to Principal or Vice-Principal. You get only the single highest relaxation you qualify for, not a sum. SC, ST and OBC relaxation applies only to posts reserved for them. For a woman with a disability, the women’s clause does not apply; the PwBD relaxation does.

AEES CBT pattern, cut-off marks and the Go or No-Go skill test

For PGT, TGT, Librarian, PRT, PRT Music and Balvatika posts, the CBT has 120 multiple-choice questions for 120 marks, in 2 hours, with no negative marking:

Section Questions
General English, General Hindi, Reasoning, General Knowledge, Basic Computer Literacy, Numerical Ability 5 each (30)
Teaching Methodology 15
The subject of the post 75

Principal and Vice-Principal take a 150-question, 150-mark CBT of 2 hours 30 minutes, also with no negative marking. The notice says the detailed syllabus is on the application portal; the AEES recruitment page also has a syllabus row dated 26-10-2026.

To be shortlisted, you need at least 60% in the CBT for UR and EWS vacancies, or 54% for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD vacancies. If too few qualify, AEES may lower this, but not below 55% and 49%. Only a set number are then called. For example, for one UR vacancy five candidates are called, and for a reserved post five times the vacancies.

The skill test for teachers is a “Go or No-Go” teaching demonstration with chalk and board on a given topic. It is pass or fail. Your rank comes from your CBT marks alone. For Principal and Vice-Principal, the CBT and interview count 50:50, and you need 60% (UR) or 54% (reserved posts) in each. On equal marks, the older candidate ranks higher. A reserved-category candidate who applies against a UR post gets no concession in the marks.

Women and SC/ST applicants still pay the AEES processing charge

The application fee is Rs 750 plus a processing fee of Rs 250, paid online by card or net banking. Women, SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates pay no application fee, but every applicant pays the Rs 250 processing fee. Bank GST is extra. The fee is not refunded, and each post you apply for needs its own fee.

After the CBT, AEES posts an answer key within 3 days. You can challenge it within 72 hours, at Rs 250 per question, refunded if your challenge is accepted. If a question turns out to be wrong, every candidate gets 1 mark for it.

AEES OBC certificate window and police verification

  • OBC (NCL): a central-list certificate in the AEES format. Para 4.2 says it must be issued between 1 April 2026 and your date of joining. The note under the OBC format in the annexures says it must be issued on or before 22 November 2026. A certificate dated between 1 April and 22 November 2026 meets both.
  • SC / ST: a certificate in the AEES format, held by 22 November 2026. Without it, your candidature will be rejected even if you clear the CBT.
  • EWS: an income and asset certificate valid for the year of the notification, with family income below Rs 8 lakh and within the asset limits.
  • PwBD: a disability certificate in the given format and a UDID card.
  • Government or PSU staff: an original No Objection Certificate (NOC) with vigilance clearance at document verification.
  • Everyone: a police verification certificate not older than six months from the last date of the form, at the skill test or interview. If you do not have it yet, bring your acknowledged application for one, not older than six months from the test date.

Class 10 name match and scanner uploads on the AEES portal

  1. Open the AEES recruitment page and use the “Link for Application Portal” in the Notification 01/2026 row. The notice says to rely only on this portal for updates.
  2. Register with a personal e-mail ID and mobile number. Admit cards and call letters come only through your login.
  3. Enter your name, date of birth and parents’ names exactly as in your Class 10 certificate. Category cannot be changed later.
  4. Choose the post. For PGT or TGT, pick only one subject.
  5. Upload a recent colour photo, your signature and the listed documents. Scan them with a proper scanner, not a phone camera, or the form may be rejected.
  6. Pay the fee and print the confirmation page. Without the confirmation page, the form counts as incomplete.

You do not post the printout. You bring it, signed, with self-attested copies of your documents to the skill test or interview. If you claim an equivalent degree, also bring the order or letter that declares it equivalent. The CBT date and admit card will be announced on the portal. You can choose one of 44 CBT cities, but only one of the two Mumbai options and one of the three Delhi options.

Degree combination, CTET date and OBC certificate: AEES last look

  1. Match your degree subjects to your post’s combination rule, especially for TGT Mathematics-Physics and PGT Commerce.
  2. Check that your CTET certificate is dated on or before 22 November 2026. If your post is one of the three in doubt, ask AEES first.
  3. Get your OBC certificate dated between 1 April and 22 November 2026, and apply for a police verification certificate.
