The health office of Purba Bardhaman district in West Bengal has put out six contract notices, all dated 13 October 2026. Together they cover 145 posts, led by 78 ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) and 33 Staff Nurse posts. In the Purba Bardhaman NHM Recruitment 2026, the last date is 13 November 2026 for every post. ANM forms go by post, courier or hand and must arrive by 5 PM that day; the other posts are applied for online. All posts are on contract at a fixed monthly pay, with the first term running up to March 2027. Applicants must be permanent residents of West Bengal, and ANM applicants must be permanent residents of Purba Bardhaman district.

Six district notices on file: memos 317 to 322, all signed on 13 October 2026. They come from the Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) and the District Health and Family Welfare Samity (DH&FWS), Purba Bardhaman. The West Bengal Health department hosts them as one scanned 25-page recruitment bundle (PDF); page numbers in this article are pages of that bundle. We checked again on 26 October 2026. The bundle was unchanged, and the Purba Bardhaman district recruitment page still listed the same six notices separately, each open from 13 October to 13 November 2026. Neither site showed a corrigendum, date change or cancellation for memos 317 to 322. The district page also lists memo 324 of the same date, a separate notice for Medical Officer-AYUSH and Pharmacist posts in the RBSK (Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram) Medical Health Teams. This article does not cover memo 324.

December 2025 Purba Bardhaman notices cancelled and reissued on 13 October 2026

Each notice opens with a cancellation. The Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM) issued an order on 29 September 2026. Under it, the district cancelled its December 2025 notices for these posts. The new notices then invite applications again.

Posts Old notice cancelled New memo (13 October 2026)
Multi Rehabilitation Worker 1036, 9 December 2025 319
Block Data Manager and Staff Nurse (XV-FC) 1019, 5 December 2025 320
ANM (Community Health Assistant-Urban), XV-FC 1021, 5 December 2025 318
TB Health Visitor and Senior Treatment Supervisor 1082, 22 December 2025 322 (now also Senior TB Laboratory Supervisor)
ANM (Community Health Assistant-Urban), NUHM 1028, 8 December 2025 317
Staff Nurse, NUHM 1029, 8 December 2025 321 (now also Pharmacist)

None of the six notices says an old form still counts. So if you applied in December 2025, plan to apply again. The online notices also tell earlier applicants what to do when the portal says “Duplicate Registration !”. Memos 319, 321 and 322 say to type your first name twice in the “Enter First Name” box (pages 2, 23 and 15). Memo 320 says to type your last name twice in the “Enter Last Name” box (page 5). Follow the line in the memo for your post. The final spelling is fixed later, at document verification.

Monthly pay and age band for each of the ten Purba Bardhaman NHM Recruitment 2026 roles

XV-FC is the Fifteenth Finance Commission, as memo 320 spells out. NUHM is the National Urban Health Mission. NPHCE is the national programme for health care of the elderly. NTEP is the national TB elimination programme. Memos 317 to 321 call the pay “consolidated”, a fixed amount a month; memo 322 gives a monthly remuneration for the TB posts. Ages are counted on 1 January 2026.

Post (memo) Posts Monthly pay Age
ANM, Community Health Assistant-Urban, XV-FC (318) 41 Rs 13,000 21 to 40

Pharmacist, NUHM, Kalna (321) 1 Rs 22,000 18 to 40
Total 145

Reserved candidates get age relaxation as per West Bengal government norms; the notices do not print the years. Each notice also splits its posts by category, with labels such as UR(EC) and SC(EC). The bundle does not explain “EC”, so read the split in your post’s notice. The first term of engagement runs up to March 2027. It may be renewed if your performance is satisfactory and higher authorities approve.

ANM forms for Purba Bardhaman go by post or by hand, not online

The two ANM notices (memos 317 and 318) work differently from the rest. They have no online form. You fill in the paper format in Annexure-C and send it by speed post, registered post or courier, or hand it in. It must reach the office by 5 PM on 13 November 2026. The address is: Office of the CMOH, DH&FWS, 1st Floor, Khosbagan, Shyamsayer East, near Harisabha Hindu Girls School, Purba Bardhaman 713101.

Three rules apply only to ANM applicants:

  • The Annexure-C application format for both ANM notices is headed “Female Only” (pages 11 and 20). The eligibility rules themselves (pages 8 and 17) do not mention gender. A male candidate should confirm with the CMOH office at the address above before applying.
  • You must be a permanent resident of Purba Bardhaman district. Your Voter ID or ration card proof must be attested by a Gazetted Officer or a Group “A” officer of the state, that is, a senior state government officer.
  • You need a pass in the ANM or GNM course from an institute recognised by the Indian Nursing Council. You also need West Bengal Nursing Council registration and Bengali.

Send self-attested copies of these papers with the form:

  • a photo ID and the residence proof;
  • an admit card or school leaving certificate from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or a similar board, as age proof;
  • a caste certificate, if any;
  • Madhyamik and ANM or GNM marksheets and certificates, and your nursing registration certificate.

Add the bank deposit copy of the fee. An application without the fee may be cancelled. Merit is the percentage of marks in your ANM or GNM exam.

Staff Nurse and the online posts: wbhealth.gov.in until 13 November 2026

Applications for all other posts are made online through the “online recruitment” section of www.wbhealth.gov.in. After you submit, print the form from hr.wbhealth.gov.in using “Application Print”. Keep it for document verification; you need not post it. A form without a proper photo and signature may be cancelled.

Main qualifications, as printed in each notice:

  • Staff Nurse (320, 321): GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from an institute recognised by the Indian Nursing Council or the West Bengal Nursing Council, or a B.Sc. Nursing. You also need West Bengal Nursing Council registration and the local language. Merit follows the marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Multi Rehabilitation Worker (319): a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and at least 2 years’ work in a hospital. A master’s in physiotherapy is desirable.
  • Block Data Manager (320): a graduate with at least a 1-year computer application diploma from a government-registered institution, and MS Office and internet skills. You also need 3 years of government or 5 years of private experience in data recording and analysis.
  • TB Health Visitor (322): a science graduate with 1 year’s work as a multipurpose worker (MPW), Lady Health Visitor (LHV), ANM or health worker. A computer course of at least two months is also needed.
  • Senior Treatment Supervisor (322): a science graduate who knows MS Word and Excel and holds a permanent two-wheeler licence.
  • Senior TB Laboratory Supervisor (322): a graduate with DMLT or BMLT (diploma or bachelor’s in medical laboratory technology) from a government-recognised institution, a two-wheeler licence and MS Word and Excel.
  • Pharmacist (321): a two-year D.Pharm (allopathic) recognised by the state, and registration as an “A” category pharmacist with the West Bengal Pharmacy Council.

Every essential qualification must be complete by 13 November 2026. All applicants must be permanent residents of West Bengal who can read, write and speak Bengali.

Class 10 to graduation marks, computer tests and experience points, memo by memo

Each post has its own scoring table. Some count only your exam marks; others add a computer test, experience marks or an interview.

Post How the marks are made up
Block Data Manager Class 10: 5, Class 12: 10, graduation: 15, computer test: 70 (pass mark 50%) = 100
Pharmacist D.Pharm 65, B.Pharm 75 or M.Pharm 85 (in proportion, out of 85), computer test: 15 (pass mark 50%) = 100
Multi Rehabilitation Worker Class 10: 10, Class 12: 10, physiotherapy degree: 10, master’s: 5, experience: 10, interview: 5 = 50
TB Health Visitor Class 10: 5, Class 12: 10, graduation: 15, MPW training: 5, experience: 10, computer test: 5 = 50
Senior Treatment Supervisor Class 10: 5, Class 12: 5, graduation: 15, Master of Social Work (MSW): 5, experience: 10, computer test: 10 = 50
Senior TB Laboratory Supervisor Class 10: 5, Class 12: 10, graduation with DMLT or BMLT: 15, experience: 10, computer test: 10 = 50
Staff Nurse and ANM Marks in the qualifying nursing exam

In memos 319 and 322, experience marks are higher for government work than for private work. For example, 5 years or more earns 10 marks in government service but 5 in the private sector. Those two memos count experience only after you got the essential qualification, up to 13 November 2026. The certificate must show the post, employer, your name and joining and leaving dates. An appointment letter alone is not accepted.

Marks of additional subjects are left out. On rounding, the papers differ. The general rules in every notice say “No rounding off of marks will be granted” and that proportionate marks are taken up to 2 decimal points. That line is on page 2 (memo 319), page 6 (memo 320), page 9 (memo 318), page 15 (memo 322), page 18 (memo 317) and page 24 (memo 321). But the scoring tables for the Block Data Manager (memo 320, page 4) and the three TB posts (memo 322, page 14) say marks are “rounded off to 2 decimals”. The notices print no phone number or email address. If this matters to your merit position, confirm it before you apply. The only contact the notices give is the Office of the CMOH, DH&FWS, 1st Floor, Khosbagan, Shyamsayer East, Purba Bardhaman 713101 (pages 9 and 18).

Paying the district samity by bank transfer, and the list due by 20 November 2026

The fee is Rs 100, or Rs 50 for reserved categories. Pay it by NEFT bank transfer to “District Health and Family Welfare Samity (NON-NHM)”, account number 0187132000008, IFSC (bank branch code) CNRB0000187. The online notices also accept online payment, with a receipt or screenshot. Online applicants keep the bank copy with the UTR number (the transaction number on the receipt) for document verification. ANM applicants send it with the paper form.

For the online posts, the district says it will publish a provisional list and a notice for document verification by 20 November 2026. These will appear on purbabardhaman.nic.in and wbhealth.gov.in. The ANM notices do not give this date. The online notices add that a candidate who skips any stage is disqualified without further notice.
