RSSB CET Graduate Level 2026: One Eligibility Test for 12 Rajasthan Services, Apply by 2 August
On this page
If you are a graduate in Rajasthan eyeing a Patwari, VDO or Junior Accountant post, this is the single form that keeps all of them within reach. RSSB CET Graduate Level 2026 is not a job recruitment; it is the qualifying gate that lets you sit the actual recruitment exams for twelve graduate-level state services. Applications are open on the SSO portal from 4 July to 2 August 2026, and a score here stays valid for three full years.
One Test, Twelve Graduate-Level Rajasthan Jobs
The value of this CET is reach. A single application feeds twelve graduate-level services (nine distinct posts, a few of which span more than one service), each issuing its own separate advertisement and vacancy count later:
- Platoon Commander, Home Guard Subordinate Service
- Patwari, under two services (Engineering Subordinate Irrigation, and Revenue Land Records)
- Junior Accountant, under two services (Subordinate Accounts, and the State Agriculture Marketing Board)
- Tehsil Revenue Accountant, Revenue Accounts Subordinate Service
- Supervisor (Women Empowerment), Women Empowerment Subordinate Service
- Supervisor, Integrated Child Development (ICDS) Subordinate Service
- Sub-Jailor / Deputy Jailor, Jail (Prisons) Subordinate Service
- Hostel Superintendent Grade-II, under Social Welfare and Tribal Area Development services
- Gram Vikas Adhikari (VDO), Panchayati Raj
You file one form, and your valid score sits ready for whichever of these opens its recruitment. That is why sitting the CET is worth it even though it hires nobody by itself.
This Score Hires Nobody, and That Is the Point
Be very clear about what a CET score is and is not. Even a top score appoints you to nothing. What it does is unlock the next door: score the qualifying minimum and you become eligible to appear in the separate recruitment exam or interview that each of the twelve services runs on its own vacancies, under its own rules, with selection decided there by category-wise merit. The qualifying bar is 40% marks, relaxed to 35% for SC and ST candidates. There is no CET rank that gets you posted and no attempt limit, so the whole exercise is a filter that decides who is allowed into the real race, not who wins it.
Graduate CET or the 12th-Level One? Pick Right
Rajasthan runs two separate CETs, and applying for the wrong one wastes your fee and time. This Graduate Level CET (Advt 09/2026) gates degree-required posts like Patwari, VDO, Junior Accountant, Platoon Commander and Sub-Jailor. The RSSB CET Senior Secondary (12th) Level is a different advertisement that gates 12th-pass posts like Constable, Forest Guard and Clerk Grade-II. If you hold a degree and want the graduate posts above, this is your test. If your target posts only need Class 12, the senior secondary CET is the one to apply for. They do not substitute for each other.
300 Marks, 150 Questions, and a Penalty for Blank Bubbles
The exam is a single offline OMR paper, scheduled for 1 to 3 December 2026, and its rules trip up the unprepared:
- 150 questions, 300 marks (2 marks each), 3 hours.
- Negative marking of one-third of a question’s marks for a wrong answer.
- Every question has five options, A to E. You must darken exactly one bubble per question. Option E is the deliberate “not attempting” choice.
- Leave a question with no bubble at all and you lose one-third of its marks, and if more than 10% of your questions are left completely blank, you are disqualified. The board gives 10 extra minutes at the end purely for bubbling.
The syllabus spans history and culture of India and Rajasthan, geography, polity, economy, science and technology, reasoning and mathematics, current affairs, computer basics, and general Hindi and English. Note that negative marking and the option-E rule are firm here, so blind guessing hurts, and skipping means darkening E, not leaving it empty.
Fee, OTR and the Absentee Trap
The CET fee runs through Rajasthan’s One Time Registration system. General and creamy-layer OBC/MBC candidates pay ₹600; Rajasthan’s non-creamy-layer OBC and MBC, EWS, SC and ST candidates pay ₹400, as do all PwD applicants. Reserved candidates from other states are treated as general and pay ₹600. Because it is a one-time fee, anyone who already paid their OTR fee in an earlier RSSB recruitment pays nothing now. The trap to know: if you register under OTR and then skip exams repeatedly, your apply facility can be blocked, and reactivating it carries a penalty fee. The convenience assumes you actually appear for what you sign up for.
Three-Year Validity and Why 2024 Scores Are Dead
Your CET Graduate score is valid for three years from the result date, with no cap on attempts, and your best valid score is used whenever a covered recruitment opens. This is the point older aspirants must not miss: the previous Graduate Level CET from 2024 carried only one-year validity, and it already expired on 11 February 2026. If you were relying on a 2024 score, it is gone, and you must apply fresh for 2026.
Age, Graduation and Who Can Sit It
You need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline to appear, and final-year students may apply provided they acquire the qualification as each post’s rules require. The age band for the CET gate is 18 to 40 years as on 1 January 2027. Upper-age relaxations apply and are not cumulative: general women get 5 years, Rajasthan SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS men get 5 years and women 10 years, PwD candidates 5 years, and ex-servicemen up to 15 years within rule limits. Remember that each of the twelve posts sets its own final age and eligibility at its own recruitment stage; the CET band only decides who may sit the test.
Booking Your Seat Through SSO
- Log in at sso.rajasthan.gov.in, open Citizen Apps (G2C) and select the Recruitment Portal.
- If your OTR is not done, complete it first: your category, disability status and home state are entered there and then fetched into the form, so get them right at the OTR stage.
- Your photo, signature and thumb impression are pulled from OTR automatically. Recording a visible identification mark is mandatory.
- Apply only from your own SSO ID. On final submission you receive an Application ID; save a printout.
A free correction window runs during the application period, with paid windows after it closes and again shortly after the exam. This sits alongside our wider Rajasthan job coverage and the full jobs feed.
Graduate CET 2026: Straight Answers
Does clearing RSSB CET Graduate Level 2026 give me a job?
No. It is an eligibility test. Scoring the qualifying 40% (35% for SC/ST) only lets you appear in the separate recruitment exams for the twelve graduate-level services. Selection happens there, by category-wise merit, not from the CET score.
What is the last date to apply for RSSB CET Graduate Level 2026?
2 August 2026, up to 11:59 PM, online only through the SSO portal. The exam is scheduled for 1 to 3 December 2026.
How is this different from the RSSB CET 12th Level?
This Graduate CET gates degree-required posts such as Patwari, VDO, Junior Accountant, Platoon Commander and Sub-Jailor. The senior secondary CET is a separate test that gates 12th-pass posts. Apply for the one that matches your target post’s qualification.
How long is the CET Graduate score valid?
Three years from the result date, with unlimited attempts and your best valid score used. The 2024 Graduate CET score expired on 11 February 2026.
What is the Graduate CET exam pattern?
One offline OMR paper: 150 questions, 300 marks, 3 hours, with one-third negative marking. You must darken option E for any question you skip, and leaving more than 10% blank leads to disqualification.
How much is the fee?
₹600 for general and creamy-layer OBC/MBC, and ₹400 for Rajasthan non-creamy-layer OBC/MBC, EWS, SC, ST and all PwD candidates. It is a one-time registration fee, so those who paid OTR earlier pay nothing.
