CCI Recruitment 2026: 148 Posts in Cotton Corporation of India, Apply by 24 July
On this page
Four days. That is what remains to apply for 148 regular posts at the Cotton Corporation of India, a Ministry of Textiles PSU that most job-seekers have never looked at, which is precisely why its exams tend to be less crowded than the banking giants. CCI Recruitment 2026 closes on 24 July, and the mix is broad: 30 posts for any graduate, 50 each for B.Com and agriculture graduates, and a handful of management and specialist roles above them.
CCI Recruitment 2026: The Posts and Pay
| Post | Vacancies | Qualification | Pay scale (IDA) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Junior Commercial Executive | 50 | B.Sc Agriculture, 50% | ₹22,000 to 90,000 |
| Junior Assistant (Accounts) | 50 | B.Com, 50% | ₹22,000 to 90,000 |
| Junior Assistant (General) | 30 | Any graduate, 50% | ₹22,000 to 90,000 |
| Management Trainee (Marketing) | 8 | MBA in Agri-Business Management | ₹30,000 to 1,20,000 |
| Management Trainee (Accounts) | 8 | CA or CMA | ₹30,000 to 1,20,000 |
| Assistant Manager (Official Language) | 1 | PG in Hindi, 50% + 1 year experience | ₹40,000 to 1,40,000 |
| Assistant Manager (IT) | 1 | BE(IT/CS)/MCA/MBA-IT, 50% + 1 year experience | ₹40,000 to 1,40,000 |
On the three junior posts, the minimum is 45% instead of 50% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
These are regular posts, not contractual: 12 months of probation, and a service bond of three years (or three months’ basic pay in lieu). The reserved-category split is printed post-wise in the notification, with PwBD and ex-servicemen carrying horizontal reservation on the three junior posts. Note the fine print on two counts: the Junior Commercial Executive post needs a B.Sc in Agriculture specifically, not any B.Sc, and both Assistant Manager posts need at least a year of work experience, so they are not fresher posts.
What CCI Does and Where You Would Work
CCI is the government’s cotton-market intervention arm: it buys cotton at minimum support price from growers through more than 590 market yards across the cotton-growing states, working from its Navi Mumbai head office and 19 branches. That geography shapes the jobs. The notification says selected candidates are posted in cotton-growing areas anywhere in India, and Junior Commercial Executives specifically serve in rural and market-yard areas. If you want a metro desk job, this is the wrong recruitment; if a field-facing PSU role with a ₹22,000 starting basic on an IDA scale suits you, it is a genuinely uncrowded corner of the sarkari job market.
One Online Test, 120 Questions, No Interview
Selection is a single computer-based test followed by document verification and a medical fitness check. There is no interview and no skill test for any post, including the accounts roles. The CBT runs 120 questions for 120 marks in 120 minutes, with 0.25 negative marking:
- Most posts (both MTs, Junior Commercial Executive, Junior Assistant Accounts, AM-IT): English 10, Reasoning 10, Quantitative Aptitude 15, General Knowledge 10, Computer Proficiency 15, and a heavy Subject Knowledge section of 60 marks.
- Junior Assistant (General): no subject paper at all; English 20, Reasoning 20, Quant 25, GK 25, Computer 30. This makes it the most open, general-preparation post of the seven.
- AM (Official Language): a 60-mark Hindi subject section, and no computer-proficiency section.
Qualifying marks are 40% for UR, EWS and OBC, 35% for SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen, and the exam runs in 11 cities: Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, Jaipur, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. The exam date is not yet announced; admit cards come online.
CCI 2026 Age Limit, Fee and the Fine Print
- Age as on 9 July 2026: minimum 18; maximum 30 for the MT and junior posts, 32 for the two AM posts. Relaxations: SC/ST +5, OBC-NCL +3, PwBD +10, ex-servicemen as per rules, with a cumulative cap of 47.
- Fee: ₹1,770 for General, EWS and OBC; ₹590 for SC, ST, ex-servicemen and PwBD (their application fee is nil; the amount is the intimation charge plus GST). Paid online through the SBI gateway.
- Marks rules: the 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwBD on the junior posts) is an aggregate of all semesters, taken to two decimals with no rounding, and the qualification must be complete as on 9 July 2026. The MT posts carry no stated minimum percentage.
- One post per candidate; multiple applications are summarily rejected, and details cannot be edited after submission.

Who Should Apply for CCI Recruitment 2026
Three audiences fit best: any-graduate candidates aiming at the 30 Junior Assistant (General) seats with a fully general paper, B.Com holders for the 50 accounts seats, and agriculture graduates for the 50 Junior Commercial Executive seats, where the eligible pool is naturally small. The trade-offs are honest ones: rural and field postings, a three-year bond, and a fee of ₹1,770 for unreserved candidates. With four days left, this is a decide-today recruitment rather than a think-about-it one.
