ESIC Indore Faculty and Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 on Contract

ESIC Indore Recruitment 2026 (Rolling Advertisement No. 08 of 2026) lists 86 contract posts at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore. They are 56 teaching faculty posts and 30 Senior Resident posts. For the October round, the scanned application and documents must reach the Dean by e-mail by 4:00 PM on 15 October 2026. The walk-in interview is on 19 October 2026, with reporting by 9:00 AM. Doctors with the qualifications set by the National Medical Commission (NMC) can apply. Faculty can be up to 69 years old, and Senior Residents up to 45.

ESIC Indore Recruitment 2026: Professor to Senior Resident on one-year contracts

All posts are on contract. For teaching faculty, page 1 says the one-year contract can be extended up to three years. That depends on your work and the college’s needs. For every post, page 6 says the tenure is one year, or until a regular doctor joins, or until age 70, whichever comes first.

The post counts are the “Total” rows of the two vacancy tables. The notice calls the vacancies provisional, so they can go up or down (page 5).

Department-wise faculty seats at ESIC Medical College Indore

Each seat is tied to one category. The table shows the category of every seat in the October round (pages 2 and 3).

In these tables, UR stands for unreserved. SC and ST are Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. OBC seats are for other backward classes (non-creamy layer), and EWS seats for the economically weaker section.

Two rules widen the field. If no EWS candidate is found, an EWS seat is filled from the unreserved category, so UR candidates may also apply for EWS seats (page 5). If no reserved-category candidate is available, any candidate may be appointed to that seat for a short term. Page 5 says less than 45 days, and page 1 says 44 days with a possible extension.

Senior Resident vacancies in 14 ESIC Indore departments

At ESIC Indore, a Senior Resident gets the same Level 11 basic pay as an Assistant Professor (page 6). The age limit is lower, at 45 years.

Three dates in the ESIC Indore October round: 15, 17 and 19 October

This is a rolling advertisement. The college plans to interview on the 18th of every month, with e-mails due by the 15th. For October, the notice fixes the interview on 19 October 2026, a Monday (page 1). The 18th falls on a Sunday this month.

1. By 4:00 PM on 15 October 2026: e-mail the filled form, the demand draft (DD) and all self-attested documents to dean-indore.mp@esic.gov.in. Send them as PDF only, in the order of the checklist on page 10. Put your name, post and department in the subject line. The notice says no e-mail is accepted after 4:00 PM (page 10).
2. By 17 October 2026: the original form, self-attested documents and the original DD should also reach the Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Nanda Nagar, Indore 452011. Page 1 words this as “on or before the date of Interview i.e. 17th of every month”. Write “Recruitment of Teaching Faculty/Senior Residents on contract basis”, with the post and department, on the envelope.
3. 19 October 2026, 9:00 AM: report for the offline interview. The notice says no candidate will be allowed after 9:00 AM.

Your qualifying degree and experience are counted as on the 15th of the month (page 2), and so is your age (page 5). For this round, that date is 15 October 2026.

NMC norms, age caps of 69 and 45, and registration at ESIC Indore

• Qualification: as per National Medical Commission guidelines (page 6). The notice does not list the degree or years of teaching experience for each post, so check the NMC rules for your grade.
• Age for faculty: not more than 69 years on the 15th of the month. Retired and working professors may apply.
• Age for Senior Resident: not more than 45 years on the 15th, with relaxation as per Government of India norms.
• Registration: you need an updated NMC or State Medical Council registration that shows all your post-MBBS degrees. If it is not updated, bring proof that you have applied. Without either, you may not be interviewed, or your result may be held back (page 5).
• NOC: if you work in a government, autonomous, statutory or private institution, bring a no objection certificate (NOC) if possible. Otherwise, bring proof that you applied for one. Staff already working at ESIC Indore do not need it.

A doctor eligible for a higher post can also be interviewed for a lower post. If selected, they may be placed in the lower post with a temporary upgrade (page 4). In super speciality departments, the Selection Board may relax the experience rule if no eligible candidate turns up.

Level 11 to Level 13 basic pay at ESIC Medical College Indore

The pay table on page 6 gives a fixed basic pay under the 7th Pay Commission for each post. Its heading also lists the allowances, in ESIC’s words. These are non-practising allowance (NPA) at 20% “wherever applicable & admissible” and dearness allowance (DA) at 60%. House rent allowance (HRA) is 20%, and TA is shown as “TA@7200+DA thereon”.

ESIC adds that the pay will change automatically when the DA rate changes, but no arrears are paid for a back-dated DA rise. ESIC gives no monthly total. NPA applies only “wherever applicable & admissible”, and the amounts may change on headquarters instructions. So this page shows basic pay only.

Private practice is not allowed in any form after you join as faculty (page 5).

Contract terms at ESIC Indore: Rs 20,000 deposit and 2.5 days of leave a month

• Security deposit: Rs 20,000 for every post. You lose it if you leave within six months or the college ends your contract. You also lose it if you stay away for more than seven days without permission (page 6).
• Leave: 2.5 days for each completed month. No earned leave or other leave types. Sunday and holiday duty comes by rotation.
• No service benefits: no provident fund (PF), pension, gratuity, medical allowance or medical benefits, seniority or promotion.
• Notice period: one month from either side. If you resign on the spot, you deposit one month’s salary.
• Attendance: marked by hand and on the Aadhaar-based biometric system every working day.
• Stamp paper: the contract is signed on Rs 500 non-judicial stamp paper, or as the Stamp Act requires. Buy it between the result and your joining date (page 7).

Doctors in patient care must also hold a professional indemnity policy for the contract period, and send a copy within seven days of joining (page 7). The minimum cover is:

• Rs 30 lakh a year for Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, ENT, Eye, Anaesthesiology, Accident & Emergency and ICU. The same applies to Cardiology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Surgical Oncology, Urology, Rheumatology and Haematology.
• Rs 20 lakh for Chest.
• Rs 10 lakh for Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Dermatology, Radiology, Psychiatry and Dental.

Demand draft to ESI Fund A/c No.-1 and the Indore application format

The fee is Rs 500 by demand draft in favour of “ESI Fund A/c No.-1”, payable at Indore. SC and ST candidates, regular ESIC employees, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities pay nothing. The fee is not refunded in any case (page 7).

Fill a separate form for each post you want, in the format on pages 9 and 10. Use black or blue ink and block letters. Your photo must show your face and both ears clearly, and you sign across it.

Attach self-attested copies of these papers, in the order of the checklist on page 10 (page 7):

• Class 10 certificate for date of birth
• MBBS and MD, MS or DNB marks sheets, attempt certificates and degrees
• Category certificate in the central government format
• Updated State or NMC registration
• Proof of publications and experience certificates
• Relieving letter or NOC, Aadhaar card and a recent passport photo
• Completion certificates for the bio-medical research examination run by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) or NMC, and the NMC medical education workshop, if you have them

The OBC certificate must not be more than one year old on the interview date. The EWS certificate must follow the central personnel department (DoPT) format of 31 January 2019 (page 5).

Academic record and interview: the ESIC Indore Selection Board

The notice mentions no written test. It says selection depends on your academic record and your performance in the interview before the Selection Board (page 8). Results go up in the Recruitments section of esic.gov.in, and the offer of appointment comes by e-mail only. Page 10 says the appointment letter is issued on the day the results are announced. No travel allowance is paid for the interview.
