AIIMS Bhopal Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026: 45 Contract Faculty Posts

AIIMS Bhopal Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 is a contract hiring for 45 faculty posts across 23 departments. The advertisement is No. ADM-2(5)/2026/AIIMS/BPL/AP_Contractual/8133, dated 1 October 2026. The contract is for 1 year, or until the post is filled on a regular basis, whichever is earlier, and it can never be regularised. The pay is a fixed Rs 1,42,506 a month. You apply by email within 10 days of the advertisement going up on the institute website, and the AIIMS Bhopal careers page lists 1 to 11 October 2026 for it. For the broad specialities, you need:

• A medical qualification listed in the schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• A postgraduate degree such as MD or MS in the subject.
• Three years of teaching or research experience in a recognised institution, after the MD or MS.

For super-speciality posts, you need the first two items above plus a DM (medical) or M.Ch. (surgical) in the subject. These posts have their own experience rule. After a 2-year or 5-year DM or M.Ch. course, you need one year of teaching or research experience. A 3-year DM or M.Ch. needs no experience. The notice does not say which of the 23 departments count as super-speciality.

Experience is counted only after you get the required degree. The advertisement gives rules for medical candidates only. It does not give a separate qualification for non-medical (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) candidates, even though the application form has rows for those degrees. If you have an M.Sc. or Ph.D. but no MBBS, confirm your eligibility with AIIMS Bhopal before you apply.

Age 50 at AIIMS Bhopal: two different dates in the notice

The upper age limit is 50 years. The Age Limit section on page 3 says it is counted “as on the date of Interview”. Page 1 of the application form also asks for your age on the interview date. But Important Note (b) on page 2 says age, experience and qualifications are counted “as on the closing date of application”. The notice does not say which of the two dates wins. On 8 October 2026 the interview date had not been announced. Age relaxation for different categories of candidates follows Government of India rules, and the notice does not print the years.

Email application and Rs 2,000 demand draft for advertisement 8133

1. Download the application form from the AIIMS Bhopal careers page, and write the department you are applying for in the blank on its first page.
2. Email it with the documents that prove your eligibility to recruitment.contractual@aiimsbhopal.edu.in. The careers page lists 11 October 2026 as the closing date, and no closing time is given.
3. General, OBC and EWS candidates pay Rs 2,000 by demand draft (DD) in favour of “Executive Director, AIIMS, Bhopal”. SC, ST, persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) and women pay nothing. The fee is not refunded.
4. Bring the same form, your original certificates, one set of self-attested copies, the DD and any No Objection Certificate (NOC) to document verification.

Page 2 of the notice says the DD is handed over at document verification. Clause 14 on page 5 says applications from General, OBC and EWS candidates without the fee will be summarily rejected. Page 4 of the form has a space for DD details. The notice does not say whether the emailed form must carry those details. Our suggestion is to get the DD made and fill in those details before you email the form. You can confirm this with AIIMS Bhopal through the email or phone number given below. Employees of central or state governments, semi-government bodies and autonomous bodies need an NOC from their employer. Without it, they will not be allowed into the interview and their candidature will be rejected.

OBC candidates need a non-creamy layer certificate in the central format for the 2026-27 financial year, issued on or after 1 April 2026. If you do not have the new OBC certificate yet, send your older certificate with the acknowledgement slip of your renewal application. When AIIMS Bhopal asks for it, you must show the 2026-27 certificate, along with the old one, by the date it sets. EWS candidates need an income and asset certificate based on 2025-26 income, issued on or after 1 April 2026.

Document check one day before the AIIMS Bhopal interview

The interview and document verification dates will be posted only on the institute website. Document verification is held one day before the interview, at Kautilya Bhawan (Administration Building), AIIMS, Saket Nagar, Bhopal. No travel or daily allowance is paid. The notice asks you to arrange your own stay, as the interview is held the day after document verification. If applicants are more than 10 times the posts, AIIMS Bhopal may hold a screening test.

Six-month minimum, Rs 1 lakh penalty and other contract terms

• You must serve at least 6 months from joining. If you do not complete the 6 months for any reason, you are liable to pay Rs 1,00,000 to the institute as a penalty.
• You sign a service bond on non-judicial stamp paper, attested by a notary, at the time of joining.
• The pay of Rs 1,42,506 is consolidated. There is no provident fund, pension, gratuity, seniority or promotion, and the allowances of regular faculty do not apply. A hostel may be given, subject to availability.
• Private practice of any kind is not allowed.
• The notice has more than one termination clause. One says the contract can end at any time without a reason. Another lets either side end it with one month’s notice or one month’s pay.
