CG Vyapam Lecturer Recruitment 2026 fills 854 Lecturer (Vyakhyata) posts in Chhattisgarh government schools, in eight subjects. You need a postgraduate degree in second division plus a B.Ed, and a Chhattisgarh local resident certificate. The online form runs from 29 September to 26 October 2026 (until 5:00 PM). The written exam is expected on 29 November 2026, which the notice calls a probable date. The exam code is LSL26. The Chhattisgarh Karmachari Chayan Mandal (CGSSB), earlier called CG Vyapam, runs the exam for the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI), Chhattisgarh.

Notices used for this page: the DPI short advertisement No. ESTB-101/207/2025/176 dated 21 September 2026, the 12-page detailed advertisement (vistrit vigyapan) for Lecturer direct recruitment 2026, and the CGSSB exam instructions for LSL26, No. F-20/2026/3983 dated 29 September 2026. All three are in Hindi on vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in. On 4 October 2026 the CGSSB website showed no corrigendum or date extension for ESTB-101/207/2025/176 (LSL26).

E cadre or T cadre: how the Chhattisgarh lecturer seats split by subject

The posts are split between two groups of government schools that the notice calls the E cadre and the T cadre. The E cadre has 424 posts and the T cadre has 430. The notice does not explain how selected candidates will be placed in one cadre or the other.

Subject E cadre T cadre Total
Hindi 60 60 120
English 60 60 120
Sanskrit 60 60 120
Physics 44 50 94
Political Science 50 50 100
History 50 50 100
Geography 50 50 100
Economics 50 50 100
Total 424 430 854

Added across both tables, the category split is UR (unreserved) 357, SC 102, ST 273 and OBC 122. There is no EWS column in the notice, and no post is kept for ex-servicemen. Women who are local residents of Chhattisgarh get 30% of the posts inside each category. This is a horizontal reservation, counted separately within each category, and widows and divorced women get preference. The tables give 225 such posts across both cadres. The notice sets the reservation for persons with disabilities (Divyang) at 7%. Its subject tables list 54 such posts, 3 or 4 in each subject. The notice says the number of posts can change.

The post is a Gazetted Class II post at Pay Matrix Level 9. A pay level is a step in the state pay matrix, and it sets your starting basic pay. The notice does not print the rupee figure for Level 9. It says Dearness Allowance (DA, the extra pay linked to prices) and other allowances follow state government orders. So we have not estimated the in-hand salary.

Only holders of a Chhattisgarh local resident certificate can sit LSL26

Paragraph 8(iv) of the detailed advertisement says every candidate must have a Chhattisgarh local resident certificate (sthaniya niwasi praman patra). By our reading, the notice leaves no seats for candidates from other states. If you do not hold this certificate, this recruitment is not for you.

The subject limit is the other rule to note. You can apply for only one subject. Paragraph 8(i) says forms in more than one subject will be treated as invalid. Pick the one subject where your postgraduate degree fits the list below.

Second-division PG and B.Ed for the eight LSL26 subjects

You need a postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in second division from a recognised university or institute, and a B.Ed. The notice accepts these subjects under each post:

Lecturer post PG subjects accepted
Hindi Hindi
English English
Sanskrit Sanskrit, Classics or Acharya
Physics Physics, Electronics, Applied Physics or Nuclear Physics
Political Science Political Science or Public Administration
History History or Ancient Indian History
Geography Geography
Economics Economics, Applied Economics or Business Economics

Paragraph 8(xii) says you must have the certificates for the required qualifications by the last date of the online form, 26 October 2026. If your PG or B.Ed result comes after that date, you do not meet this rule. The notice also says qualifications will be judged in line with NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) notifications and court rulings. Dual, joint and double degrees follow a UGC letter dated 5 June 2025.

The online form does not ask you to upload caste, birth, residence or degree certificates. The appointing department checks them later, and you carry the full risk of any wrong entry. CGSSB also states that filling the form or sitting the exam does not by itself make you eligible.

How far the LSL26 upper age of 35 can stretch

You must have turned 21, and must not have turned 35, on 1 January 2026. By our reading, that means a general candidate must be born between 2 January 1991 and 1 January 2005 (both dates included). The upper limit goes up as follows:

  • SC, ST and non-creamy-layer OBC of Chhattisgarh: up to 5 more years.
  • Women: up to 10 more years, under the state’s 1997 rules for women’s appointment.
  • Divyang candidates: as per General Administration Department (GAD) instructions. The notice gives no figure.
  • Permanent or temporary state government servants: up to age 38. Work-charged and contingency-paid staff, staff of project implementation committees, and employees of state corporations and boards also get up to 38.
  • Nagar Sainik and non-commissioned Nagar Sena members: their service period, up to 8 years, with a cap at 38.
  • Retrenched state government staff: up to 7 years of past temporary service can be deducted, but the result cannot be more than 3 years over the limit.
  • The savarna spouse of a couple awarded under the state’s inter-caste marriage scheme: 5 more years.
  • Winners of the Shaheed Rajeev Pandey award, the Gundadhur Samman, the Maharaja Praveerchand Bhanjdeo Samman and the National Youth Award: 5 more years.

Even when you combine several of these, the age at entry cannot cross 45. If you applied using the employee relaxation and then resign, you lose eligibility.

LSL26 fee refund for Chhattisgarh residents who sit the exam

The exam fee is Rs 350 for general candidates, Rs 250 for OBC, and Rs 200 for SC, ST and Divyang candidates. You pay it online while filling the form.

The exam instructions add a refund rule from a GAD letter dated 21 April 2025. After the result, Chhattisgarh local residents who sat the exam get the fee back. The money goes to the same bank account you used to pay. Since this recruitment is open only to local residents, by our reading every eligible candidate who appears should qualify for the refund. Pay from an account you will still use after the result, and do not skip the exam if you want the money back.

Why four wrong guesses cancel one right answer on the LSL26 OMR sheet

The written exam has 100 objective questions of 1 mark each. The instructions give 2 hours to answer them, while the printed exam time is 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM. The notice does not explain the extra 15 minutes. Each question has four options. You fill one circle completely on the OMR sheet (the machine-read answer sheet) with a blue or black pen.

A wrong answer costs 1/4 mark, and so does marking more than one option. A question you leave blank gets zero. So four wrong answers wipe out the mark of one right answer.

The syllabus is set by the department and posted under the “Syllabus” link on the CGSSB website. After the exam, CGSSB publishes model answers. You can object online at Rs 50 per question, one question at a time, with proof. Guide books are not accepted as proof. If a question is dropped, every candidate gets its mark as a bonus. The OMR sheets are machine-checked, so there is no re-totalling or re-evaluation.

Filling LSL26 through your CGSSB profile, then fixing mistakes by 29 October

  1. Create or update your profile registration on vyapamprofile.cgstate.gov.in. The exam form takes your personal details from this profile.
  2. Keep a photo of yourself, taken from the front against a light background, and a scan of your signature. Each must be a .jpg or .jpeg file between 50 KB and 100 KB. Use letters and numbers in the file name, with no spaces or dots.
  3. Fill the LSL26 form for one subject, pay the fee online, and then press the SUBMIT button. Paying alone does not complete the form. Print the final form.
  4. If you made a mistake, use the correction window from 27 to 29 October 2026 (until 5:00 PM). For basic details, correct the profile first. CGSSB will not correct anything for you, and your result is prepared from what you entered.

For help with the form, the CGSSB helpline is 0771-2972780 on working days, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. On holidays, the mobile number 8269801982 works at the same hours.

Expected 29 November exam at five divisional centres: the gate closes at 9:30 AM

The exam will be held in the five divisional headquarters: Ambikapur (Surguja), Bilaspur, Durg, Jagdalpur (Bastar) and Raipur. The admit card is expected on the CGSSB website on 23 November 2026. It will not come by post. Print every page on one side of the sheet, because the centre keeps one copy.

  • Reach at least 2 hours early for the identity check and frisking. The main gate closes at 9:30 AM, 30 minutes before the 10:00 AM start.
  • Bring the admit card, a black or blue ball pen and an original photo ID (voter ID, driving licence, PAN card or Aadhaar). Without an original photo ID you will not be let in.
  • Wear light-coloured, half-sleeve clothes. Black, dark blue, dark green, purple, maroon, violet and dark chocolate colours are not allowed. Wear chappals (slippers), and no jewellery in the ears.
  • Electronic watches, phones, purses, pouches, scarves, belts and caps are not allowed. You cannot leave in the first or the last half hour.
  • Candidates in religious or cultural dress must report earlier for an extra security check.

Merit list, waiting list and Supreme Court SLP 19668/2022

The selection list is made from the CGSSB written exam result. The notice mentions no interview. CGSSB’s job ends with the result. Document verification (DV, the check of your original certificates), selection and appointment are done by the department. DV notices will come on the department portal, eduportal.cg.nic.in, so keep checking it after the result.

  • The selection list stays valid for 6 months from its issue date.
  • Each category gets a waiting list of at least one name and up to 25% of its vacancies. It stays valid for 9 months from the date the selection list is issued.
  • Every appointment is subject to the final order of the Supreme Court in SLP (C) No. 019668/2022. An SLP (Special Leave Petition) asks the Supreme Court for permission to appeal. The notice does not say what this case is about.
  • Appointments follow the Chhattisgarh School Education Service (Educational and Administrative Cadre) Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2026.
  • Probation lasts 3 years and can be extended by up to 1 year if work is not satisfactory.
  • Candidates selected in a reserved category must give a permanent caste certificate. Married SC and ST women must give a caste certificate that shows their father’s name.
  • If you work for the Chhattisgarh or central government, a government company, a bank, private institution or university, you must give a no-objection certificate from your employer.

Braille, hearing-aid and medical board rules for Divyang lecturer applicants

The notice also sets these rules for Divyang applicants. A fully blind candidate who is trained in Braille (reading and writing) is treated as suitable for the language, arts and commerce groups. A fully blind candidate without Braille training is not eligible for any subject. A hearing-impaired candidate is eligible only if they can hear with a hearing aid, and a fully deaf candidate is not eligible. In Physics, the Divyang posts in both cadres do not list blind candidates (the code B is missing from those rows). Divyang selectees also face a District Medical Board check in the district of posting before they can join. The board tests the benchmark disability and whether the person can meet the job’s work needs.
