Free Scooty Yojana 2026: State-Wise List, Eligibility and How to Apply (Rajasthan, UP & More)

Every year, thousands of girl students search for a “free scooty yojana” and hope there is one scheme for the whole country. Here is the honest truth — there is no single all-India free scooty yojana. Different state governments run their own schemes, and they mostly give a free scooty to meritorious girl students who pass Class 12 and continue their higher studies.

Below are the main free scooty schemes for 2026, who can apply, and the official websites. I have also added a short part on how to spot fake “free scooty” websites, because many such sites only want your money or your data.

Free Scooty Yojana 2026 – state-wise quick view

State Scheme Who can apply Status Official site
Rajasthan Kali Bai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana Class 12 girls, 65% (RBSE) / 75% (CBSE) Active hte.rajasthan.gov.in
Uttar Pradesh Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana Class 12 girls, 75%, income below Rs 2.5 lakh Approved, not launched yet UP Higher Education Dept (soon)
Other states (MP, Gujarat etc.) Own scooty / cycle schemes Rules differ by state Check state portal State education department

1. Rajasthan – Kali Bai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana

This is the oldest and most reliable free scooty scheme in India. It is run by the Department of College Education, Rajasthan, for girls who do well in Class 12 and take admission for higher studies.

  • Who can apply: Girl students from Rajasthan who passed Class 12 with at least 65% in RBSE or 75% in CBSE, and who join a college for further studies.
  • Benefit: A free scooty. In 2026, Rajasthan is moving to a DBT (direct bank transfer) model — the money for the scooty can come straight to the girl’s bank account, so she can buy a scooty of her choice. Confirm the current mode on the portal before you apply.
  • How many: About 30,000 girls get the benefit every year.
  • Where to apply: Log in with your SSO ID on the official portal and fill the scholarship form.

2. Uttar Pradesh – Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana

This is a new scheme for UP girls. The state government approved Rs 400 crore for it in the 2026-27 budget (presented on 11 February 2026), and plans to give free scooties to about 50,000 meritorious girl students. The aim is to help rural girls who leave higher studies because their college is far and there is no safe way to travel.

Likely eligibility (not final yet): UP resident, at least 75% in Class 12, family income below Rs 2.5 lakh, and studying in a government or recognised college.

Important — the scheme is not launched yet. No official application link is active. So do not fill any “Rani Laxmi Bai scooty” form on a random website right now. Wait for the official UP Higher Education Department portal and the proper guidelines.

3. Other states

Some other states, like Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, also run their own free scooty or free cycle schemes for girl students. The marks, income limit and website are different for each state, so always check your own state’s education department website for the exact rules. You can also follow our Sarkari Yojana section for the latest scheme updates.

Documents you usually need

  • Aadhaar card
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Income certificate
  • Bank passbook (needed for DBT)
  • Domicile / residence certificate
  • A passport-size photo and a working mobile number

How to spot a fake “free scooty” website

This part is important. Many fake sites copy these scheme names to steal your money or your details. Keep these simple rules in mind:

  • A real government scheme is always on a .gov.in or .nic.in website (Rajasthan’s is hte.rajasthan.gov.in).
  • The government never asks for a fee or “registration charge” for a free scooty.
  • Never share your Aadhaar OTP or bank OTP with anyone.
  • If a site promises a scooty to “everyone” with no marks or income condition, it is fake.

Official link: For the Rajasthan scheme, apply only on hte.rajasthan.gov.in. For UP, wait for the official UP Higher Education Department portal — do not trust any other link.
