The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) is hiring for 615 posts through the Jharkhand Technical/Special Qualification Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination, better known as JTGLCCE-2026. This drive suits people from Jharkhand who hold a specific technical or science degree, and for a couple of posts a postgraduate one, because the seats sit across health, statistics, dairy, fishery, audit and drug-testing departments. It fills 611 regular vacancies under Advertisement No. 01/2026 and 4 backlog vacancies under Advt No. 02/2026, which is 615 in total. If your degree and its level match one of these roles, you have until 14 July 2026 to send in your form.

Verified from the official notification (3 July 2026). We confirmed these details by opening the JSSC Application-Forms page (last updated 2 July 2026) and by reading the official JTGLCCE-2026 brochure, where the posts, pay, fee and dates are listed; you can reach the commission and apply on the official JSSC website.

The 615 seats cover these roles: Assistant Entomologist; Assistant Vector-Borne Disease Control Officer; Inspector (Vector-Borne Disease Control Programme); Block Statistical Supervisor, Junior Statistical Assistant and Investigator; Dairy Technical Officer; Fishery Extension Supervisor; Auditor (Directorate of Audit, Finance Department); Junior Scientific Assistant (State Drug Testing Laboratory, Namkum); and Laboratory Assistant in science subjects.

Which Streams and Degree Levels JSSC Wants for Each JTGLCCE Post

This is where a lot of people slip up. JTGLCCE-2026 is a Graduate Level examination by name, but the required degree is not the same for every post, and it is not open to any graduate. Each post asks for its own subject, and a few ask for a postgraduate degree. The statistical roles want graduation with Statistics, Mathematics or Economics. The Dairy Technical Officer needs Dairy Technology. The Fishery Extension Supervisor takes a Fishery Science graduate or a Zoology (Honours) graduate. The Auditor role accepts a graduate degree in Mathematics, Economics, Commerce or Statistics, so you are not limited to Commerce alone. The Junior Scientific Assistant (State Drug Testing Laboratory, Namkum) needs a graduate or postgraduate degree in Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Medicine (or an equivalent, or an Institution of Chemists associateship with a diploma in drug analysis) plus the specified analyst experience, so it is not a plain B.Pharm seat and a qualifying Science or Chemistry graduate with the right experience can apply. The Assistant Entomologist post is different again: it needs a postgraduate degree in Life Science or Entomology, not just a bachelor’s. So a plain arts degree, or in some cases only a bachelor’s, will not qualify you for a technical seat. Read the eligibility line for your chosen post in the brochure and confirm both your subject and your degree level match before you pay.

On age, you need to be 21 to 35 years as on 1 August 2025. The upper limit relaxes to 37 for EBC-I and BC-II men, 38 for women of UR, EWS, EBC and BC-II, and 40 for SC and ST candidates. PwD candidates get 10 extra years and ex-servicemen get 5.

JTGLCCE-2026 Fee and Pay Levels

The application fee is Rs 100 for General, EWS and OBC candidates and Rs 50 for Jharkhand SC and ST candidates. Candidates with 40% or more disability are exempt. One payment covers both Advt 01 and Advt 02, and the fee is non-refundable, so pay only after you are sure of your post.

On pay, the brochure sets a clear Pay Matrix level for every post. The roles sit across three levels: Level 7 (Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400), Level 6 (Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400) and Level 5 (Rs 29,200 to Rs 92,300). The level differs from role to role, so check the pay column against the exact post you plan to apply for.

The Two OMR/CBT Rounds JSSC Uses to Shortlist JTGLCCE Candidates

Selection runs in two rounds held in OMR/CBT mode. First there is a Preliminary examination, and the candidates who clear it sit the Main examination. Each correct answer carries 3 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer, and a document verification follows for those who qualify. Because a wrong answer costs you a full mark against a possible 3, blind guessing can quietly drag your score down, so it pays to answer only when you are reasonably sure.

Submitting Your JTGLCCE Form and the 3 July Fee Deadline Most People Miss

Here is the detail a plain listing tends to skip. The last date to apply is 14 July 2026 on the JSSC portal, but the fee-payment window closes earlier, on 3 July 2026. So even if the form stays open until the 14th, the fee has to be paid by 3 July or you can be left with an incomplete, rejected application. There is also a correction window from 5 to 10 July for editing what you have already submitted. Dates like these can move by notice, so confirm the current fee and last dates on the JSSC portal before you rely on them.

To apply, register and log in at the JSSC portal (jssc.jharkhand.gov.in/application-forms-apply), fill the JTGLCCE-2026 form, upload your documents, pay the fee and save the final print. If you cannot tell which post your degree qualifies you for, our step-by-step job finder can help you shortlist the right one, and you can browse more Jharkhand government jobs on our state page.

One safety reminder: apply only on the official JSSC website. A genuine government recruiter never asks for an unofficial fee through an agent, a WhatsApp number or a private link, so ignore anyone who does.

Is the JSSC JTGLCCE-2026 application still open on 3 July 2026?

Yes. Applications opened on 1 June 2026 and the last date is 14 July 2026 on the JSSC portal, so the form is open. The catch is that the fee-payment window closes earlier, on 3 July 2026, so if you have not paid by then your form can be left incomplete. Because dates like these can shift by notice, confirm the live dates on the JSSC site before you rely on them.

Can any graduate apply for these JSSC technical posts?

No. Every post needs a specific stream, and some need a postgraduate degree. Statistical roles want Statistics, Mathematics or Economics; the Dairy Technical Officer wants Dairy Technology; the Fishery Extension Supervisor takes Fishery Science or Zoology (Honours); the Auditor accepts Mathematics, Economics, Commerce or Statistics; the Junior Scientific Assistant needs a Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Medicine degree (graduate or postgraduate) plus the specified analyst experience; and the Assistant Entomologist needs a postgraduate degree in Life Science or Entomology. Match your degree and its level to the post in the brochure before you pay.

How much is the JTGLCCE-2026 fee and can I get it back?

It is Rs 100 for General, EWS and OBC candidates and Rs 50 for Jharkhand SC and ST candidates. Candidates with 40% or more disability are exempt. One payment covers both Advt 01 and 02, and the fee is non-refundable.

Does JSSC cut marks for wrong answers in the JTGLCCE exam?

Yes. Selection uses two OMR/CBT rounds, a Preliminary and a Main. Each correct answer carries 3 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer, so blind guessing can lower your score. Answer only when you are reasonably confident.

What salary will JSSC JTGLCCE-2026 posts pay?

The brochure lists a Pay Matrix level for every post. The three levels in play are Level 7 (Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400), Level 6 (Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400) and Level 5 (Rs 29,200 to Rs 92,300). Check the pay column for the exact post you want, because the level differs from role to role.

Up to what age can I apply for JSSC JTGLCCE-2026?

The base age is 21 to 35 years as on 1 August 2025. The upper limit relaxes to 37 for EBC-I and BC-II men, 38 for women of UR, EWS, EBC and BC-II, and 40 for SC and ST candidates, with 10 extra years for PwD and 5 for ex-servicemen.
