The SBI Wealth Management SCO 2026 advertisement, No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/25, offers 6 vacancies across 5 Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO) posts, all on a 5-year contract. Online registration and fee payment run from 30 September to 21 October 2026. Every post sets a minimum of 3 to 15 years of post-qualification experience in the field named for it. Selection is by shortlisting, then an interview and a pay negotiation. The advertisement lists no written test.

Read in full for this page: State Bank of India’s 13-page advertisement CRPD/SCO/2026-27/25. It comes from the Central Recruitment and Promotion Department in Mumbai. It is dated 30 September 2026 and issued over the name of the General Manager (RP&PM). It is linked from the bank’s current openings page, and applications go through the SBI recruitment portal for this advertisement. On 8 October 2026 that portal page still gave 21 October 2026 as the last date for both registration and fee payment for all five posts. SBI’s openings page listed no corrigendum for this advertisement.

Five SBI Wealth Management SCO 2026 roles and their 6 vacancies

The posts sit in SBI’s Wealth Management and Premier Banking Department. The suggested place of posting is Mumbai. The bank says this is only indicative and it may post you anywhere in India. Ages are worked out as on 31 August 2026.

In the table, UR means unreserved, SC means Scheduled Caste and OBC means Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer). CTC means cost to company: the total yearly cost of the job to the bank, including fixed pay, performance pay and perks.

Post Posts and category Age (UR) Yearly CTC upper limit
Head Sales 1 (UR) 40 to 52 Rs 199.00 lakh
Central Research Team (Product Lead) 2 (1 SC, 1 UR) 30 to 45 Rs 77.20 lakh
Manager (Business Process) 1 (UR) 30 to 40 Rs 47.20 lakh
Project Development Manager (Technology) 1 (UR) 25 to 40 Rs 47.20 lakh
Central Operations Team (COT) Support 1 (OBC), reserved within it for a visually impaired (VI) candidate 30 to 40 Rs 37.20 lakh

The age limits shown are for UR candidates. Reserved categories get upper-age relaxation under Government of India rules, where applicable, but the advertisement does not print the number of years. Only two vacancies are reserved by category: one SC seat for Product Lead and one OBC seat for COT Support. Candidates from reserved categories, including those with disabilities, who apply for a UR vacancy must meet all the UR rules, including the age limit. The one vacancy for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) is horizontal. That means it is not an extra seat: it sits inside the single OBC post for COT Support. The bank calls all vacancy numbers provisional.

Page 2 says you may apply for more than one post if you meet the rules for each one. The general rules on page 12 add a second line. When there are multiple applications, only the last complete one is kept, and the fee for the others is forfeited. The advertisement does not say whether this covers applications for different posts. Queries go through the “Contact Us / Post Your Query” link on SBI’s careers site, so ask there before applying for two posts.

Experience SBI asks for in each wealth management post

All qualifications and experience are counted as on 31 August 2026. Experience must be full-time and after the qualification. CFP, CFA and NISM certificates named below are professional finance certifications.

  • Head Sales: MBA or PGDM from a reputed college or university. At least 15 years of managing sales teams in wealth management, retail banking or asset management companies (AMCs). Of this, at least 8 years must be in leading a large team of relationship managers and team leads, preferably in wealth management firms or AMCs. CFP, CFA, NISM V-A or NISM 21-A is preferred.
  • Central Research Team (Product Lead): MBA or PGDM from a recognised college or university, or CA or CFA. At least 5 years in equity research or products with a wealth manager, a mutual fund AMC or a bank. NISM investment adviser or research analyst certificates, CFP, or NISM 21A or 21B are preferred.
  • Manager (Business Process): MBA or PGDM from a government-recognised university or institution. At least 5 years in a bank, a wealth management firm or a broking firm.
  • Project Development Manager (Technology): BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, MBA, MMS, PGDM or PGDBM from a government-recognised university or institution. At least 4 years in banking technology, preferably in a business function.
  • COT Support: any graduate from a government-recognised university or institution. At least 3 years in financial services, investment advisory, private banking or wealth management solution providers. At least 2 of those years must be in central operations of a wealth business.

Teaching jobs and short stints do not count

Two rules can cut your counted years. Teaching and training experience is not counted. A stint of less than six months in any organisation is also not counted. Your experience certificate must say clearly that you worked in the related field. Without it, the bank may cancel your candidature at any stage.

For proof, the advertisement accepts an employer’s certificate, yearly appraisal letters, appointment and relieving letters together, or an offer letter with income tax returns. Other authentic proof may also be used, subject to background and reference checks.

Earlier selectees and former contract staff who are barred

  • Anyone who got an offer letter in an earlier SBI wealth management recruitment and did not join is barred for two years from the date of not joining.
  • Anyone engaged on contract for these posts before who resigned is barred from these posts for two years from the resignation date.
  • If such a person also got a caution notice, they are barred from all forthcoming recruitments.
  • People with an adverse report on character and antecedents cannot apply.

What sits inside each SBI CTC upper limit

The CTC figures in the posts table are upper limits, not fixed salaries. Each limit already includes fixed pay, the allowances below and Performance Linked Pay (PLP). The bank negotiates the actual CTC based on your experience, your current pay and the place of posting.

Post Fixed pay (maximum, per year) Conveyance, mobile and medical allowances
Head Sales Rs 147.00 lakh Rs 0.38 lakh
Central Research Team (Product Lead) Rs 57.00 lakh Rs 0.38 lakh
Manager (Business Process) Rs 34.75 lakh Rs 0.32 lakh
Project Development Manager (Technology) Rs 34.75 lakh Rs 0.32 lakh
COT Support Rs 27.32 lakh Rs 0.32 lakh

Every post is eligible for PLP of 0% to 35% of fixed pay. The yearly increment band is 0% to 25%. Both depend on your performance rating under bank policy. We have not estimated monthly in-hand pay, because the final CTC is set by negotiation.

The contract is for 5 years. It may be renewed for another 4 years at the bank’s discretion, on conditions the bank may set. Either side can end it with two months’ notice, or two months’ pay in place of notice. Officers are entitled to 30 days of leave in a financial year, granted for genuine and appropriate reasons. SBI may transfer you to any of its offices in India, or depute you to its associates, subsidiaries or any other organisation.

Interview marks and the SBI CTC negotiation

A committee set up by the bank decides the shortlisting rules. Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview call. The interview may run in one or more rounds, in person or by video. It carries 100 marks, and the bank decides the qualifying marks.

The merit list is based on interview marks alone. Candidates tied at the cut-off are ranked by age in descending order, which puts the older candidate first.

The CTC negotiation may happen during the interview or later, in order of merit. A provisionally selected candidate who does not accept the CTC offer is treated as having left the process. The next candidate on the merit list may then be considered.

Eligible outstation candidates get travel fare by the shortest route in India, or the actual cost if lower. The call letter says who is eligible. Taxi and other local travel are not paid. A candidate found ineligible at the interview is neither interviewed nor paid any fare.

The advertisement gives two timings for the No Objection Certificate (NOC). Pages 2 and 12 advise staff of government and quasi-government offices, PSUs, nationalised banks and financial institutions to submit it at the interview. Without it, their candidature may not be considered and travel costs are not paid. Page 2 puts SBI Group companies in that same list. But page 4 and each post’s box say SBI Group staff must give the NOC while applying. If you work in an SBI Group company, have the NOC ready when you apply. Page 11 lists the NOC, where it applies, among the files to upload with the form. To confirm the timing, use the “Contact Us / Post Your Query” link on SBI’s careers site.

Paying the SBI fee and uploading files on the CRPD portal

The fee, including intimation charges, is Rs 750 for UR, EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) and OBC candidates. SC, ST and PwBD candidates pay nothing. You pay online through the payment gateway on the form, and you bear any transaction charges. The fee is not refunded and cannot be moved to another recruitment.

  1. Open the SBI careers page, choose CRPD/SCO/2026-27/25 and read the advertisement. Then register online.
  2. Scan your photo and signature first. The form will not register without them.
  3. You can save a half-filled form and reopen it with the provisional registration number and password. Editing saved details is allowed only three times.
  4. Upload each document as a PDF of A4 size, no larger than 500 KB. Once uploaded and submitted, documents cannot be changed.
  5. Pay the fee. No change or editing is allowed after payment. Print the e-receipt and the application form.

Photo and signature files must be JPG or JPEG. Photo: a recent colour passport-style picture of 20 KB to 50 KB, ideally 200 x 230 pixels, on a light, preferably white, background. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not accepted. Signature: 10 KB to 20 KB, ideally 140 x 60 pixels, in black ink on white paper. A signature in capital letters is not accepted.

The upload list covers a short resume, ID proof, PAN card, marksheets and degree certificates, and experience certificates. It also asks for Form-16 (the yearly tax certificate from your employer), an offer letter or your latest salary slip. Add the biodata and CTC format, plus a PwBD certificate and NOC where they apply. Page 2 also asks for age proof and a caste certificate where relevant. Without the required documents, an application will not be considered for shortlisting.

OBC and EWS certificate dates for the SBI SCO form

An OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate must be in the Government of India format, issued between 1 April 2026 and the date of your interview. OBC candidates in the creamy layer must apply as UR. For EWS, you need an Income and Asset Certificate for FY 2025-26, valid for FY 2026-27, by the closing date. If you do not have it by then, the advertisement says to apply as UR.
